Three MG EVs Debut At Goodwood

At this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed, MG Motor garnered much attention by unveiling three performance-oriented EVs for the first time – EX4 Concept, Cyberster Roadster and MG4 EV Xpower. The latter two also participated in the famous hillclimb event. Where the two-seater convertible echos back to MG’s heritage, the MG4 Xpower put on a good show with its dual-motor outputting 435hp/600Nm. The EX4 Concept vehicle reimagines an MG from the history books – the Metro 6R4 rally car from the 1980s. It donned a distinctive livery to celebrate the 40th anniversary of MG’s aforementioned rally icon.

Kia To Launch EV6 And EV9 Across MENA Region In 2023

Korean automaker Kia has confirmed that it will launch its new-gen EVs – the EV6 and the EV9 – across the MENA region this year. The flagship electric vehicle, the EV9, will arrive in October, followed by the introduction of the EV6 in November. While the latter has been in the market for a while, the former is the latest addition to Kia’s EV range. Measuring over 5 metres in length and boasting a 3.1-metre wheelbase, it promises a roomy cabin for passengers and luggage. And depending on the powertrain available, it offers up to 380hp/600Nm, enough for a 0-100kmph sprint time of 6 seconds.

Cadillac Lyriq EV Bookings Open For Kuwait And The UAE

American carmaker Cadillac is now accepting bookings for its first-ever EV – the Lyriq – from two new markets – Kuwait and the UAE. Specifically, interested buyers from those two countries will receive the Lyriq Al Awael. Al Awael translates to “the firsts”. In other words, a specially curated edition for those who reserve Lyriq EV by filling out a form on Cadillac Arabia’s official website. The Lyriq Al Awael will be exclusively available in Celestial Metallic armour exterior colour with a black panoramic roof and an Oxford Stone interior with exclusive badging. Besides those bespoke touches, the Lyriq Al Awael will pack a plethora of tech, including a 102kWh battery pack, all-wheel-drive, about 500hp/610Nm, 494km of range and a 33 inches screen on the dashboard. Of course, Cadillac will accept only limited bookings for the Lyriq Al Awael.
