OMODA & JAECOO announce the arrival of the all-electric OMODA E5 to the UAE

The OMODA E5 goes through stringent reliability tests to brave the UAE’s high-temperate conditions

After unveiling new products such as the OMODA C5 and JAECOO J7 in the UAE, innovative Chinese carmaker duo OMODA & JAECOO have now announced the upcoming addition of the all-electric OMODA E5 to its extensive UAE line-up.

The OMODA E5, an all-electric derivative of the C5, will be OMODA and JAECOO’s third product slated for launch in the UAE in the coming months. The automaker claims the OMODA E5 will come equipped with a 61kWh battery capacity, 80kW fast charging power, and a 28-minute fast charging Blade (LFP) Battery. Considering how the UAE is prone to excessively high-temperature weather conditions for most of the year, OMODA put the E5 through rigorous testing to ensure reliability in extreme conditions, including high heat, deep waters, and rough terrains. The E5’s most notable accomplishment was enduring a flame test during which it was exposed to flames up to 500°C for 130 seconds, and it passed the same to demonstrate the electric SUV’s robust construction and suitability for the UAE’s demanding climate. Attached below is the video package for the stringent reliability test.

Shawn Xu, CEO of OMODA & JAECOO Automobile International, said: “As the UAE continues to witness growing EV readiness among drivers, we are excited to announce the upcoming addition of OMODA E5 to our fleet of vehicles in the coming months. This is a milestone moment for OMODA & JAECOO as we expand our presence in the Middle East. The OMODA E5 is not just an electric vehicle, but a testament to our commitment in redefining automotive experiences through innovation and sustainable progress.”
