Volvo EX30 Bookings Open In The UAE

The EV is available in four variants, starting at AED 149,900.

Volvo Cars and Al-Futtaim Trading Enterprises, the Swedish brand’s authorised dealer in the UAE, are now accepting bookings for the EX30. The compact pure-electric SUV is available in four variants – Core, Plus, Ultra Performance and Ultra Performance LE. In the same order, their prices are AED 149,900, AED 177,900, AED 205,900 and AED 209,900. The EV made its world premiere earlier this year.

In Core and Plus forms, the Volvo EX30 has a single electric motor producing 272hp/343Nm. However, the Core derivative packs a 51kWh battery, which offers a maximum range of 344km. In Plus spec, the EV comes with a 69kWh battery. That is efficient enough to deliver a range of up to 480km.

Those who want more power can settle for either of the Ultra Performance variants. Both have two electric motors, jointly outputting 428hp/543Nm. That’s enough for a 0-100kmph sprint time of 3.8 seconds, making the EX30 the quickest accelerating Volvo ever. The brand claims these two derivatives can travel up to 460km on a single charge. And when the battery runs out of juice, the extended-range version can take DC feeds of up to 153kW (standard-range variant: 134kW). Under ideal conditions, the EV can replenish its battery from 10 to 80 per cent in just over 25 minutes.

The Volvo EX30 has an impressive list of features. Depending on the variant, it comes with a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Google built-in, powered seats, auto LED headlamps, a panoramic sunroof, a wireless mobile charger, a Harman Kardon sound system, dual-zone automatic climate control, 20-inch alloy wheels, four USB ports and a host of safety and assistance systems.

The Volvo EX30 is available in five exterior colours – Crystal White Metallic, Onyx Black Metallic, Vapour Grey, Moss Yellow and Cloud Blue. There’s also a choice of four interior themes – Mist, Pine, Indigo and Breeze. Deliveries of the Volvo EX30 in the UAE will start early next year.
