The new DEEPAL S05 EV gets launched in the UAE for AED 89,900

February 2025 saw DEEPAL, China’s premium EV car brand under Changan Automotive, make its debut in the UAE. And now, DEEPAL along with Al Tayer Motors, one of the UAE’s premier automotive dealerships, has launched the carmaker’s second product in the UAE – the new DEEPAL S05 SUV. The price of the DEEPAL S05 starts at AED 89,900/- and includes six years or 150,000 kilometres vehicle warranty and eight years or 150,000 kilometres battery warranty.

The new DEEPAL S05 will be available in two powertrain variants – an all-EV trim with a claimed range of up to 460 km and a Range Extender EV with an electric range of 160 km and a combined range of more than 900 km. The new DEEPAL S05 has been built upon Changan Platform Architecture (CPA) and has all its power (214hp for the EV and 234hp for the REEV) sent to the rear wheels. While the REEV powertrain allows the S05 to be topped up with fuel, charging the electric batteries from 30 – 80% shall only take 20 minutes for the REEV trim and 15 minutes for the BEV.

On the exterior design front, the DEEPAL S05 boasts distinct elements like hidden door handles and frameless windows along with a futuristic headlight and taillight setup. The interior can be upholstered in either Orange or Grey/Black upholstery colours while coming equipped with an AR-based HUD (Headup Display), a 15.4” infotainment screen, a panoramic sunroof that extends to the widest corners of the roof, and a 50W wireless phone charging on the center console. Further creature comforts include queen seats for the front row seats which also get equipped with seat ventilation and electrical adjustment.

The new DEEPAL S05 also carries a host of intelligent safety features such as Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane change assist, and Blind Spot Monitoring along with a plethora of passive safety features.
