The final days of June 2025 saw Swedish carmaker Volvo unveil the 2025 facelifted iteration of its flagship SUV, the new 2025 Volvo XC90, in the UAE. Volvo says the new 2025 XC90 – an award-winning and best-selling flagship 7-seater SUV, is now better than ever before with a host of practical upgrades featured both, outside and inside the car including a more potent hybrid powertrain. Prices for the new 2025 Volvo XC90 start from AED 269,900 in the UAE.
Volvo offers both mild hybrid and plug-in hybrid options with the new 2025 XC90 SUV. The plug-in hybrid XC90 variant can now be driven for up to 70 km on electric power alone, ideal for daily journeys. Longer trips shall be facilitated via the petrol-electric combination, capable of 800 km of combined range. Additionally, engaging the petrol-hybrid combination on the new Volvo XC90 also allows the all-wheel-drive system to be activated for rougher terrains.
Exterior design changes on the 2025 Volvo XC90 comprise new sleeker Thor’s hammer headlights, a more aesthetically designed grille, and a tweaked bumper with a minimalistic design. Users can choose between new rim designs and up to 22-inch wheels are on offer.
Even the rear end features updated Christmas tree tail lights with a blacked-out finish. Overall, the changes on the 2025 Volvo XC90 align it with Volvo’s electrified line-up design language.
Updated to the inside are more significant. The dashboard boasts decorative panels made from premium recycled materials for a more textured finish and is split by new vertical air vents. Additional storage spaces have been carved out in the center console, in response to the feedback from current XC90 owners. To extend the luxurious cabin experience even further, the 2025 Volvo XC90 comes equipped with enhanced illumination across the cabin.
The crowning jewel of the dashboard is a new 11.2-inch infotainment touchscreen unit. It is built on a Google platform but now boasts Over The Air software update functionality. Furthermore, the XC90 facelift can be optioned with a 14-speaker Harman Kardon Premium Sound system.
Mechanical changes to the XC90 facelift include an upgraded suspension, which now adapts to the road conditions in real-time, and enhanced sound insulation to offer a calmer and quieter cabin experience.
Lee Parker, Brand Director- Volvo UAE, Al Futtaim shared, “The refreshed XC90 really brings together what customers in the UAE are looking for. It’s smart, practical, and still every bit as premium as you’d expect from a Volvo. With more range, upgraded tech, and that clean Scandinavian feel throughout, it’s a great step forward for a model that’s already so well loved here.”
