It might be time to recalibrate your expectations of what an electric crossover can be. The all-new Skoda Elroq RS has just been revealed at the 2025 Milan Design Week, and it’s anything but another silent, soulless EV. With dual motors, all-wheel drive, aggressive RS styling, and more torque than a hot hatch on steroids, this ‘green’ machine is the most powerful production Skoda to date — and it wears that badge with pride.
Skoda Elroq RS — 335hp Dual-Motor Powertrain
Beneath the Skoda Elroq RS’ sculpted sheet metal sits a dual-motor drivetrain that delivers 335hp & 679Nm to all four wheels. If that setup sounds familiar, it’s because this is essentially the same output as the Volkswagen ID.4 GTX, but here, it’s dressed in Skoda’s performance-focused RS gear.
This electric crossover isn’t a slouch despite tipping the scales at up to 2,342kg. It accelerates from 0 to 100km/h in just 5.4 seconds, making it the fastest accelerating Skoda production car ever made. Top speed? A respectable 180km/h. That’s serious pace for a small EV.
Skoda Elroq RS Range & Charging Speed
The Elroq RS is powered by an 84kWh battery pack that gives it a range of up to 572km on the WLTP cycle. And when you’re running low, the Elroq RS is Skoda’s fastest-charging model yet. DC fast charging maxes out at 185kW, meaning a 10 to 80% top-up takes around 26 minutes. Need a full charge overnight? The 11kW AC charger does it in eight hours.
Chassis & Dynamics — The RS Treatment
Skoda didn’t just bump up the power and call it a day — the RS chassis has been seriously reworked. The suspension is lowered by 15mm at the front and 10mm at the rear, while the standard sports suspension has been tuned for sharper handling.
Want even more control? Opt for Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC), which offers 15 individual shock settings via Driving Mode Select, including a special Traction mode for all-wheel-drive grip in tricky conditions. Braking is handled by larger front discs with two-piston calipers, although the rear still gets drums — a common quirk across the MEB platform, even if it irks purists.
The RS Design
Looks matter, especially when you’re driving something with RS badges. The Elroq RS doesn’t disappoint. Subtle, it is not. Up front, you’ve got a meaner front bumper, a redesigned lower intake, and the signature Tech-Deck Face that blends sensors with a blacked-out grille look.At the rear, a gloss black insert, full-width reflector, and LED taillights with dynamic indicators round out the aggressive aesthetic.
The Mamba Green paint seen in press shots is exclusive to the RS, and it sure does stand out. Black trim accents on the wing mirrors, window surrounds, roof rails, and even the Skoda badging complete the stealthy, sporty look. Wheels? 20 or 21-inch RS-specific alloys with aero styling complete the styling..
Skoda Elroq RS Interior
Inside, the Elroq RS keeps the drama going with a seriously sporty cabin. The seats are trimmed in faux suede and leather, complete with lime green stitching. Stainless steel pedals, carbon-effect trim, and black faux suede on the dash and door cards add to the performance vibes.
It features a massive 13.0-inch infotainment display with RS-specific graphics. Want more tech? The optional Augmented Reality head-up display is part of the Advanced package. Even the steering wheel feels ready for a track day — it’s flat-bottomed, three-spoked, and gets physical buttons plus flappy paddles for adjusting regenerative braking levels.
A Proper Performance EV, The Skoda Way
The Skoda Elroq RS brings the RS spirit into the electric age in a way that feels authentic, bold, and seriously fun. It’s fast, loaded, sharp-looking, and smartly packaged. Sure, the purists might moan about the weight or rear drum brakes, but let’s face it — this is a 335hp, dual-motor, AWD electric crossover that does 0-100 km/h in 5.4 seconds, looks like a weapon, and still hauls your family and groceries without blinking. What’s not to love?
