Fisker Fans In India Will Love This!

A stunning Fisker with the Indian tricolour. That’s enough to bump the adrenaline levels, especially if you’re a Fisker fan living in India. No? Perhaps this will – the California-based EV maker invites 100 “lucky individuals” to own a specially curated model called Ocean Extreme Vigyan Edition. Named for the company’s India subsidiary in Hyderabad, the EV’s homologation process is underway and will likely be completed by September this year. By that calculation, deliveries should commence in the last quarter of 2023.

Fisker confirms pricing for the Indian market will align with that of Europe, where the Ocean Extreme is priced at EUR 69,950 (in Germany). The sticker price will reflect that and vary based on currency conversion rates, import taxes, and other logistical costs.

In Europe, the Fisker Ocean Extreme delivers a WLTP-certified range of 707km on standard 20-inch wheels. No other electric SUV sold in Europe today betters that. The battery backing the dual-motor setup in the Ocean Extreme has a usable capacity of 106.5kWh. A recommended fast charger can replenish the battery in just over 33 minutes. With up to 564hp/737Nm of tap, the electric SUV can hit 100kmph from nothing in 4 seconds and clock 205kmph flat out.

MG’s EXE181 Concept electric hypercar pays tribute to a record-breaking car

Global auto expos and concept car unveils go hand in hand and British-born MG continues this tradition at the ongoing 2024 Beijing Auto Show by unveiling an all-electric hypercar concept called the MG EXE181 Concept. If you recall the name from before, Sir Sterling Moss set a land speed record in 1957 with a car called the EX181, which stands to this day. An extra E was added, probably to signify the electric powertrain’s presence, and the design inspiration borrowed from the record-breaking car further helped the concept achieve a drag coefficient of 0.181, explaining the nomenclature behind the concept’s name. MG engineered this car to attain a top speed of 415 km/h and the interior with a streamlined steering wheel and Head-Up Display setup further emphasizes the priority on speed.
