Polestar 3 Launched In The UAE

It’s available in two dual-motor forms – with or without the performance pack.

It was in October 2022 when Polestar unveiled the Polestar 3 for the first time. Now, that all-electric SUV has made its way to the UAE. Al-Futtaim Electric Mobility Company, the official distributor of Polestar in the country, has launched the Polestar 3. The brand’s first-ever SUV is available in two dual-motor forms – with or without the performance pack. Buy it without the extra punch; the starting price is AED 360,000. Else, it is AED 410,000.

The Polestar 3 long-range dual-motor offers 483hp/840Nm, enough for a 0-100kmph sprint time of 5 seconds. With the performance pack, the SUV has 510hp/910Nm on tap. With the extra oomph, the standard sprint time drops to 4.7 seconds. The top speed in both cases is 210kmph.

The two electric motors get their juices from a 111kWh battery pack, of which 107kWh is usable. The battery can last for a WLTP-certified range of up to 610km (560km with performance pack). It can take AC feeds of up to 11kW. At optimal power, the wait time from a zero to 100 per cent charge is eleven hours. Alternatively, DC feeds of up to 250kW are also supported. At maximum supply, the battery can charge from 10 to 80 per cent in 30 minutes.

As standard, the Polestar 3 comes with features like a 14.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 9.0-inch digital instrument cluster, four USB-C ports, a 15-watt wireless mobile charger, a panoramic glass roof, rain-sensing wipers, electric tailgate with hands-free opening, powered front seats with memory function and a 360-degree surround-view camera. The EV also includes three-zone automatic climate control, one-pedal drive, front and rear parking sensors, 10 airbags, a tyre pressure monitoring system and various driver assistance systems.

In the UAE, the Polestar 3 is available in six exterior colours – Snow, Jupiter, Magnesium, Midnight, Space and Thunder. Deliveries of the car are expected to commence in May 2024. Those who want to experience the vehicle may visit the Polestar Space in the Mall of the Emirates. Another Polestar outlet is coming up in the country’s capital very soon.
