The Porsche 850 Fantom Air is a yacht powered by Macan EV’s powertrain tech

Porsche collaborates with Austrian Frauscher Shipyard to develop an exclusive electric sports boat called the 850 Fantom Air. This exclusive all-electric sports yacht will initially be limited to 25 units, with the first deliveries planned for 2024. Porsche’s yacht will be based on the Frauscher 858 day cruiser whilst carrying its dimensions of 8.67-meter length and 2.49-meter-width. The electric watercraft will be powered by the same powertrain slated to be used in the next-gen Macan EV comprising the 800V PPE platform, the lithium-ion battery and the next-gen permanently excited synchronous electric motor but optimised for water use. The Porsche X Frauscher 850 Fantom Air can seat nine people while housing a swimming/lounge platform at the rear deck, two benches, two bimini tops for shade, a premium sound system, and a refrigerator. The German automaker has claimed to be heavily involved in the seat design and upholstery decisions to ensure a luxurious feel.
