Tata To Supply 25,000 EVs To Uber

Indian auto giant Tata Motors has inked an MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) with Uber, the cab aggregator, to supply a fleet of pure-electric cars. As many as 25,000 Expres-T sedans, the commercial-use version of the Tigor EV, are part of the deal. The deliveries will happen in a phased manner, starting this month. Uber will introduce the EVs (Electric Vehicles) procured in multiple metropolitan cities across India, including Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Ahmedabad.

Volvo EX90 all-electric SUV to arrive in the UAE by 2024

Al-Futtaim’s Trading Enterprises, the official representative of Volvo Cars in the UAE, will launch Volvo’s safest vehicle – the EX90, in the UAE by 2024. The EX90 is the brand’s latest flagship SUV. It gets equipped with a Volvo-unique set of eight cameras, five radars, 16 ultrasonic sensors, and a cutting-edge LiDAR sensor as a safety suite for maximum safety and driver assistance. A Proud Moment For Volkswagen Group India

Skoda Auto Volkswagen India Pvt. Ltd. (SAVWIPL), the umbrella under which automotive brands Skoda, Audi, Volkswagen, Porsche and Lamborghini are found, has bagged a Green Energy Certificate from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) for its manufacturing facility in Aurangabad – the first automotive plant to do so in the city. According to the automotive group, the said plant has transitioned to 100 per cent ‘green’ energy, years in advance of its 2025 target. The certification came in after the plant commissioned a 980 kWp rooftop solar power setup to meet 40 per cent of its annual energy requirements. As a result, the production facility will post nearly a 48 per cent reduction in CO2 emissions every year.
