The Kia EV6 GT was recognised as the ‘World Performance Car’ at this year’s World Car Awards, an annual event with a jury of over 100 automotive journalists from 32 countries. The announcement came at an awards ceremony during the New York International Auto Show 2023. The Kia EV6 GT is a punchier derivative of the standard EV6, which has also bagged accolades, including the ‘2022 Car of the Year’ and ‘2023 North American Utility Vehicle of the Year’ titles.
The most awaited Rolls Royce has landed on the shores of the Middle East as Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Dubai, AGMC, unveiled the brand’s first-ever all-electric offering, the Spectre, in Dubai. Touted as the world’s first ultra-luxury electric super coupé, the Spectre will be the most powerful Rolls Royce ever while being a spiritual successor to the Phantom Coupe in design. It will sit on the brand’s new EV-dedicated all-aluminium architecture and be driven on 23-inch wheels, a first for a two-door coupé in production. Specifications are yet to be unveiled, though customer deliveries will commence in Q4 of 2023. Pricing of the Spectre will be slotted between the Cullinan and Phantom.
Polestar will unveil its next offering at this year’s Shanghai Auto Show, the Polestar 4. Date? That’s April 18, 2023. Not much, apart from the image above, has been revealed yet. But we do know that the EV will boast an SUV coupe silhouette. Another claim that the brand is making – “Design cues and sustainability enhancements initially showcased in Polestar’s concept cars will make their production debut in Polestar 4.” The Swedes also mention that their new vehicle will be the fastest Polestar production car.
The first battery-electric light-duty truck from the American brand aims to offer a range of over 800km.
It’s destined to become the first Mini to be produced in Germany.

The Audi S1 e-tron quattro Hoonitron, a one-of-a-kind race car, is currently being hosted at the Future of the Museum in Dubai. The Hoonitron EV drift car was a collaborative effort between Audi and late legendary drifting sensation Ken Block and this display marks the debut for the EV drift car in the Middle East. The S1 e-tron quattro debuted in Block’s Elektrikhana film, where it drifted through the streets of Las Vegas. All four wheels have an electric motor each to put out 670hp. The Audi Hoonitron is one of several exciting Audi show cars to be displayed for visitors courtesy of the ongoing collaboration between Audi Middle East and the museum. This EV drift car will be stationed at the Museum of the Future for visitors to view until April 2023.
The electric SUV can gain 239km of travel range in 15 minutes.
Polestar adds a new special edition to the Polestar 2’s model line-up with the BST Edition 230 aimed towards introducing “more focus on the performance design details.” Hence, it features a new exclusive Green Nebula exterior paint with the option to add a full-length racing stripe. Some cabin elements get upholstered in microsuede with the use of recycled nubuck leather for steering wheel production. The BST Edition 230 boasts an output of 469hp, around 67 hp more than the standard Polestar 2 dual-motor. Other changes include a lowered ride height, stiffer suspension setup and the fitment of Pirelli P Zero tires, designed exclusively for the Polestar BST Edition. Prices for the BST Edtion 230 start from $80,900.
