Audi India Has Two Exciting Updates
Both concern the EV space.
The Mercedes-EQ EQS SUV, which made its world premiere last year, has made its regional debut in the Middle East. More specifically, it made a public appearance at the Mobility Live 2023 event in Abu Dhabi. Not only is it one of the most refined and luxurious electric vehicles in the world, but also one of the most potent. It has a claimed range of up to 617km (WLTP), while the two electric motors jointly produce 536hp. And courtesy of a robust electrical architecture, the SUV can add a 200-250km range in just 15 minutes of charging.
March 2023 saw the inception of Al-Futtaim Electric Mobility Company, an EV-dedicated subsidiary by the Al-Futtaim group, which also bagged the UAE’s first-ever e-mobility-focused dealership title upon launch. The firm welcomed its first NEV (New Energy Vehicle) partner – BYD, at launch, and now, it is opening pre-bookings for the BYD ATTO 3 in the UAE. With a deposit of AED2,000, customers can reserve an ATTO 3 EV crossover for themselves before the official launch. Prospective buyers can visit www.byduae.ae to book their very own BYD ATTO 3. Priced at AED 149,900, the BYD ATTO 3 boasts a healthy range of up to 420kms on a single charge, a power output of 201hp, and a 0-100kph acceleration time of 7.3secs. It comes equipped with features such as a panoramic sunroof, a 6-way powered driver seat, a 12.8” electric rotary multimedia screen, a Dirac audio system with 8 speakers, and Apple Carplay integration.
Audi Middle East and its official dealer partner Al Nabooda Automobiles, are now accepting pre-bookings for the Q8 e-tron. The luxury EV’s starting price has also been unveiled, which is AED 419,900, including VAT. It will also be showcased at the Dubai showroom for a limited period. It’s available in SUV and Sportback forms, with up to 582km and up to 600km of range, respectively. Courtesy of a robust electrical infrastructure, the Q8 e-tron can replenish its battery from 10 to 80 per cent in 31 minutes via the recommended DC fast charger.
Jaguar, Range Rover, Defender and Discovery to become individual entities
It has a single electric motor producing 42hp/110Nm.
Slotting between the ‘2’ and ‘3’, the ‘4’ is Polestar’s fastest production car to date.
It’s the i7 M70 xDrive, which made its world debut in China.
It’s not just more luxurious than the donor model but more powerful as well.
Though still in pre-production form, it’ll launch in Europe and China this autumn.
