Do Check Out These Models At Icons Of Porsche 2023

At the third edition of Icons of Porsche, which will be held on November 25-26 this year at the Dubai Design District, there will be a lot of, well, Porsches! The first is, of course, the Mission X concept. The hypercar, which first broke cover in June 2023, will have an excellent company. It will be flanked by three iconic Porsche models – the all-wheel-drive 959, the Carrera GT V10 and the 918 Spyder.

The next one is the regional premiere of the Porsche Vision 357 Speedster concept. Paying homage to the 356, the brand’s first production model, and based on the 718 GT4 e-Performance, it made its world premiere in July this year.

Besides those two concept cars, Porsche will also display the 718 Spyder RS and the 911 S/T.

We Now Have A Debut Date For New BMW 5 Series Touring

BMW unveiled the new-gen 5 Series earlier this year. In its eighth generation, one of the world’s bestselling premium saloons also gained an all-electric variant – the i5. Besides the apparent void of an M5, which should be filled sooner rather than later, there was another missing link – the new 5 Series Touring.

Well, in Spring of 2024, the estate version will make its world premiere. And BMW confirms that the 5 Series Touring will have the same range of powertrain options as its sedan sibling. That means the portfolio will include internal combustion engines with 48-volt mild-hybrid systems, plug-in hybrid setups and, for the first time, an all-electric powerplant. The last option is developed specifically for markets like Europe, Japan and Taiwan.

If you’re a tech geek who is intrigued by the latest futuristic technology, chances are you would already be aware of the GITEX tech show. This annual event is currently taking place at the Dubai World Trade Centre between 16 to 20 October and visitors for this year are in for a treat from Mercedes-Benz. While the former is considered a flagbearer in EV efficiency courtesy of its record-breaking 1200km road trip across Europe on a single charge, the latter is seen as a design stalwart by the brand. The Vision One-Eleven’s design language is seen as a 21st-century style marker by the carmaker as it showcases the first sports car interior with a lounge concept while the exteriors exhibit a modern reinterpretation of the legendary C 111 experimental vehicles from the 1970s. As the GITEX event is considered a platform to promote accelerating digital innovation and technology, it is considered the ideal event for Mercedes-Benz to showcase pioneering concept cars that represent breakthroughs in design, technology, and progressive luxury.
