In celebration of the Datograph’s 25th anniversary, Lange unveils a new version of the Datograph Up/Down, and the Datograph Perpetual Tourbillon Honeygold “Lumen”.

A. Lange & Söhne has revealed two timepieces during Watches and Wonders Geneva, which was held during April 9th – April 15th, 2024.

These include a new version of the Datograph Up/Down, and the Datograph Perpetual Tourbillon Honeygold “Lumen”.

 

Datograph Up/Down

For the Datograph’s 25th anniversary, the Datograph Up/Down is launched in an 18-carat white gold case with a blue dial crafted in silver. It has a case diameter of 41 mm and a case thickness of 13.1 mm. It comes with a blue hand-stitched alligator leather strap and an 18-carat white gold prong buckle.

Its functions are hours, minutes, small seconds with stop-seconds function; flyback chronograph with precisely jumping minute counter; UP/DOWN power reserve indicator and outsize date. It is powered by in-house mechanical hand-wound calibre L951.6, which features a column-wheel chronograph, a free-sprung balance spring and a balance with eccentric poising weights. It comprises of 451 parts, has 46 jewels, features 4 screwed gold chatons, beats at a frequency of 18,000 semi-oscillations per hour or 2.5 Hz, and has a power reserve of 60 hours.

Datograph Perpetual Tourbillon Honeygold “Lumen”

The Datograph Perpetual Tourbillon is launched in Lange’s proprietary 18-carat Honeygold® and receives the “Lumen” treatment to become the Datograph Perpetual Tourbillon Honeygold “Lumen”. Its semi-transparent sapphire crystal dial is coated with luminescent material and incorporates 18-carat Honeygold® elements. Its case is crafted in 18-carat Honeygold®. It has a case diameter of 41.5 mm and a case thickness of 14.6 mm. It comes with a dark-brown hand-stitched alligator leather strap and a deployant buckle in 18-carat Honeygold® and 18-carat white-gold.

Its functions are hours, minutes, small seconds; tourbillon with stop seconds (located on caseback side at 12 o’clock); flyback chronograph with precisely jumping minute counter; tachymeter scale; perpetual calendar functions of outsize date, day of the week, month, and leap year; day and night indicator and moon phase display. It is powered by in-house mechanical hand-wound calibre L952.4. It comprises of 684 parts, has 57 jewels (one of which is a diamond endstone), features 5 screwed gold chatons, beats at a frequency of 18,000 semi-oscillations per hour or 2.5 Hz, and has a power reserve of 50 hours.
