G-Power Extends M3 Upgrades To M4 Variants

The GP-720 performance package means a peak output of 720hp/850Nm.

In November last year, G-Power Engineering announced three G3M Bi-Turbo packages for the latest-gen BMW M3. Unsurprisingly, all three were extended to the M3 Touring, the announcement of which came in June 2023. Now, the German tuning house has confirmed that the trio are also available for both BMW M4 variants – coupe and convertible. But the names have changed to G4M Bi-Turbo. Duh!

The entry-level package – the GP-620 – boosts the 3.0-litre turbocharged six-cylinder powerplant to produce 612hp/750Nm. Next in line is the GP-670, increasing the output to 661hp/800Nm. Lastly, the most potent one – the GP-720. Choose that, and the tuned engine generates 709hp/850Nm. In the first two, the top speed figure is raised to 320kmph. The top-tier performance package adds another 10kmph, pushing the maximum speed to 330kmph.

The upgrades in performance come courtesy of software changes. Depending on the package, G-Power also installs a stainless steel exhaust system, Venturi RR or RS carbon bonnet and the GP Dynamic carbon rear wing, with the latter available only for the M3 sedan and the M4 coupe. Buyers can also garnish their cars with more carbon bits, with inserts on the side skirts, kidney grille and front spoiler. The latter two are available in two derivatives each. And, of course, there’s a decan set on offer.

Car owners can also choose between two G-Power rims – the Hurricane RR (20 inches) and the RS (21 inches), wrapped with 285/30R20 and 295/25R21 tyres, respectively. Furthermore, the go-fast BMWs are garnished with G-Power carpets and emblems. An LED steering wheel is also part of the options list. That’s where one will also find a complete leather interior upgrade and a carbon cover for the engine.

G-Power confirms that all the above components can either be purchased as part of the Bi-Turbo package or separately. Moreover, buyers can choose from other upgrades using boost pipes, sports air filters and a carbon intake system. Ride height lowering options with coil springs or a Variant 4 coilover suspension are also available.
