Bugatti announces expansion of its Molsheim headquarters

A new building will be built at the Molsheim site in the second half of 2024 – next to the Bugatti studio. This new facility will support the ongoing production of the most extreme Bugatti – the Bolide and the W16 Mistral. It’s a two-storied building spread over a total area of 2120 sq. meters which would house the upcoming team members, a 50 per cent increase in workforce targeted by the brand by 2027. “The construction of this new building at our home in Molsheim is perfectly matched to the expansion of the brand and the product range and shows the strength of Bugatti on the way to an exciting future,” said Christophe Piochon, President of Bugatti Automobiles.

Al-Futtaim Opens New 3S Outlet In Qatar

UAE-based Al-Futtaim Group expands its international presence by opening a massive facility in Qatar. To be precise, the conglomerate’s Al-Futtaim Automotive division takes the lead in this development. In Qatar, it is represented by Doha Marketing Services Company (Domasco), which has been in operation since 1965 and is the sole distributor of three brands – Honda, GAC Motors and Volvo. The 3S (sales, service, spare parts) facility is the new home to two car brands – Honda and GAC Motor and is spread over 22,700 sq. m. Besides boasting a parking space for 362 vehicles, the facility can also cater to service and spare part jobs for 140 cars daily. At the inauguration event, Domasco Honda unveiled the 2023 range of Honda cars, including the Civic Type R, ZR-V, Pilot and e:HEV – the first Honda hybrid in the Middle East region. Similarly, a new compact SUV, the Emkoo, was unveiled by Domasco GAC Motor. The same side will also be home to GAC Approved Pre-owned Programme – a first for the brand in the Middle East.

The Porsche 850 Fantom Air is a yacht powered by Macan EV’s powertrain tech

Porsche collaborates with Austrian Frauscher Shipyard to develop an exclusive electric sports boat called the 850 Fantom Air. This exclusive all-electric sports yacht will initially be limited to 25 units, with the first deliveries planned for 2024. Porsche’s yacht will be based on the Frauscher 858 day cruiser whilst carrying its dimensions of 8.67-meter length and 2.49-meter-width. The electric watercraft will be powered by the same powertrain slated to be used in the next-gen Macan EV comprising the 800V PPE platform, the lithium-ion battery and the next-gen permanently excited synchronous electric motor but optimised for water use. The Porsche X Frauscher 850 Fantom Air can seat nine people while housing a swimming/lounge platform at the rear deck, two benches, two bimini tops for shade, a premium sound system, and a refrigerator. The German automaker has claimed to be heavily involved in the seat design and upholstery decisions to ensure a luxurious feel.

Puma Opens New Store In Abu Dhabi

The capital of UAE, Abu Dhabi, has become home to Puma’s largest outlet in the region. Located in the Hamdan Street shopping district, it occupies a real estate of 700 sq. m. With such a space in the factory outlet, Puma will showcase its wide variety of sportswear and apparel. The collection will cater to all age groups, genders and sports interests. That includes running, training, team sport, motorsport and sport style. The store also has official merchandise of Manchester City, Coca Cola and Neymar Jr.
