The new 2024 Range Rover Evoque borrows tech and design updates from bigger Range Rovers

The facelifted embeds new headlight technology and more customisation options

The boffins at Land Rover appear to be on a facelifting spree. The luxury SUV brand recently updated its luxury off-roader Discovery Sport with tweaks on the exterior and a revised cabin setup. And now, the same gets extended to the smallest SUV by the brand – the Evoque.

At first glance, the 2024 Range Rover Evoque may not look vastly different from the outgoing model, though it doesn’t have to, as it receives a mid-life facelift. Similar to the ethos adopted on the recently facelifted Discovery Sport, the more prominent changes in this facelift feature inside the cabin. All the buttons get eliminated to make way for a new curved 11.4-inch floating infotainment unit that houses all car, multimedia and climate controls. All configuring buttons and options get relegated to either the steering wheel or the infotainment unit, which now embeds the latest Pivi Pro 2 software and features Amazon Alexa voice assistant and Android Auto/Apple CarPlay smartphone connectivity.

The centre console introduces a minimalist look while boasting a new gear shifter that aligns with the bigger Range Rovers. Land Rover claims the facelifted Evoque also gets a barrage of cameras comprising a 3D surround camera, a ClearSight ground view camera, and an interior rearview cam, making it the most sophisticated setup in its class. Another class-leading feature getting added is the Cabin Air Purification Plus system. The cabin upholstery boasts new options comprising non-leather Ultrafabrics and Kvadrat wool blend fabric.

A handful of changes can be witnessed on the exterior of the 2024 Range Rover Evoque facelift. Instead of the usual mesh pattern on the grille, thin rectangles get fitted on the new Evoque as an ode to its bigger Range Rover siblings. Though the highlight factor of the exterior change is the new slim LED headlights called Pixel 1 LED lights. Land Rover claims this new headlight setup features three times as many LEDs as before, with LEDs that can be individually controlled to project varying amounts of light per the situation.

Eight alloy wheel designs up to 21 inches in size and five new finishes are on offer. The Range Rover Evoque receives an update to its colour palette as well, which now features Arroios Grey, Tribeca Blue and Corinthian Bronze, along with contrast roof options such as Narvik Black and Corinthian Bronze.

The new Range Rover Evoque continues offering a range of plug-in and mild electric powertrains. The P300e electric hybrid option combines a three-cylinder Ingenium petrol engine with an 80kW electric motor to put out 305hp and an uprated real-world EV-only range of 48kms, courtesy of improvements in the battery chemistry. The Evoque could also be had in the traditional fossil-fuel powertrains comprising a 2.0-litre petrol mild-hybrid with 249hp, or either 163 hp or 204 hp with diesel.
