The all-new MG7 luxury sedan gets launched in GCC markets

It features sporty attributes like motorsport-ergonomic seats with a super sport button on the steering wheel

MG Motor announces the launch of an all-new sedan called the MG7 in GCC markets, Lebanon and Iraq. Race mode capabilities, sleek aerodynamic design and integrated motorsport seats comprise the highlights of this new sedan with prices starting at USD 21,300 (excluding VAT).

The MG7 is MG’s foray into the large sedan segment with a streamlined aerodynamic design. The top-spec trims are equipped with 19-inch wheels and red brake callipers to lend a sporty look to the sedan. Performance-centric dynamic elements extend to the MG7’s cabin as well with motorsport seats, designed for ergonomic support. Higher trim variants feature luxury silk Nappa leather and microfiber suede upholstery with European textured piping for a more sophisticated look with 6-way electric adjustment.

The dashboard boasts a dual 10-inch screen setup for the instrument cluster and the infotainment system. The top-spec trims are equipped with a premium Bose sound system, featuring 9 speakers, a 360-degree camera, a remotely-operated panoramic sunroof and a super sport mode button on the steering wheel that preps the car for precision driving.

Powertrain options for the MG7 comprise a choice between 1.5-litre or 2.0-litre Turbo petrol engines. The former puts out 188hp paired to a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission while the latter 2.0-litre iteration produces 261hp while being married to a 9-speed automatic transmission.

Commenting on the MG7 launch, Tom Lee, Managing Director of MG Motor Middle East, said: “In response to evolving customer preferences, we’ve expanded our offering with the introduction of the first-ever large sedan from MG Motor equipped with sports features. This reflects our commitment to providing a car that excels on the road and embodies a state-of-the-art look and feel. The MG 7 perfectly blends advanced driving features and a sleek style, making it the ideal choice for customers seeking a dynamic driving experience.”
