Limited Edition RS Q8 Celebrates 40 Years Of Audi Sport

Audi and Al Nabooda Automobiles, the authorised dealer of Audi in the UAE, are celebrating the 40th anniversary of Audi Sport with 40 uniquely customised Audi RS Q8 models. Those have been categorised under the tag “40 Jahre Edition”.

Of the 40 units on offer, 20 are the Bronze Montecarlo Edition. Inside the cabin, this derivative has Alabaster White accents, Havana Brown stitching, coloured seatbelts and black leather-draped controls. Also, customers will get ventilated seats with a massage function, a head-up display, Audi Exclusive leather and a Bang & Olufsen sound system.

The other 20 celebratory Audi RS Q8 units are called Java Green Edition. Its striking green exterior is complemented by a Jet Get interior theme with Iguana Green stitching. It also features black carbon details, and 23-inch 5-Y Spoke Rotor rims. Performance Pirelli tyres and Audi’s Advanced Suspension package round off the special treatment.

Air India And Axis Bank Enter Reward Points Partnership

Two of India’s renowned brands, Air India and Axis Bank, have entered a new partnership. It’s related to the reward points that both companies offer to their customers. According to the newly inked partnership, Axis Bank’s credit card customers can transfer their Axis Edge Reward points or Edge miles to Air India Flying Returns points. Once transferred, the points can be used against cabin upgrades or award flights on any Air India flight and Flying Returns’ 25 other partner airlines.

The points conversion is as follows. For Burgundy Private and Magnus for Burgundy credit cards, five points equate to four Flying Returns points (5:4). Similarly, the conversion ratio is 5:2 for Magnus and Reserve credit card holders. The best conversion ratio of 1:2 is for those with Atlas credit cards. The ratio is 10:1 for Select and Privilege & Rewards credit cards, while the remaining eligible can transfer at 20:1.

Oakley Signs Eyewear Deal With Fortnite

California-based eyewear brand Oakley has inked a multi-year partnership with one of the most popular online video games – Fortnite. According to the deal, the former will release exclusive eyewear collections donning some of the aspects of the famous video game. The collaboration starts with two designs, both boasting the mark of Fortnite’s Battle Royale’s Victory Crown etched on the lens.

The first is the Oakley Helux Fortnite. It comes with the brand’s proprietary Prizm Gaming 2.0 Lens Technology, reducing glare from OLED and LED displays without compromising the sharpness. The second is called Oakley Hydra Fortnite. It’s better suited for outdoor adventures, packing a golden Prizm 24k lens.

The Oakley X Fortnite collection will be available exclusively on the eyewear brand’s official website starting November 29, 2023.

Audi India Announces Price Hike Across Range

Audi India has announced that from January 1, 2024, prices of its models will increase by up to 2 per cent. Why? Due to the rise in input and operational costs.

Audi India is well underway to round off 2023 on a strong note. In the first nine months (Jan-Sep), it posted a growth of 88 per cent. Also, by the end of the year, the carmaker aims to have two more Audi Approved: plus (pre-owned car business) outlets, pushing the total to 27.

Daily Akasa Air Flights To Port Blair Start Next Month

One of India’s newest airlines, Akasa Air, has added a new destination to its expanding network. From December 15, 2023, the carrier will start operating daily flights to Port Blair, the capital city of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, from Bengaluru via Chennai. In case you’re wondering, there won’t be a change of aircraft in Chennai.

Here are the flight details: Flight QP 1485 will depart from Bengaluru at 6 am and arrive in Tamil Nadu’s capital at 7:05 am. After a stoppage of 40 minutes, the flight will leave Chennai at 7:45 am and land in Port Blair at 9:55 am. The return flight, QP 1486, will depart at 10:35 am and arrive at Chennai at 1 pm. 35 minutes later, the same aircraft will leave Chennai and land in Karnataka’s capital at 2:50 pm.

Akasa Air, which has a fleet of Boeing 737 Max jets, has served more than 5.9 million passengers ever since it went live in August last year. Apart from the cities mentioned above, the carrier also connects with Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Delhi, Kochi, Guwahati, Agartala, Pune, Lucknow, Goa, Hyderabad, Bagdogra, Bhubaneswar and Kolkata.
