HYSEK LAUNCHES KILADA UAE LIMITED EDITION AT DUBAI WATCH WEEK!

A Meticulously Crafted Limited Edition of 30 pieces to Celebrate UAE National Day.

Dubai Watch Week: 16th – 20th November 2023.

Hysek – a leading Swiss haute horology timepiece brand, has chosen Dubai Watch Week (DWW) to celebrate UAE National Day by launching the Kilada UAE limited edition. This timepiece ‘represents a horological masterpiece paying homage to the rich heritage and vibrant spirit of the United Arab Emirates.’  ‘The watch flawlessly encapsulates the spirit of celebration and togetherness, making it a perfect selection for individuals who wish to add a touch of elegance to the UAE National Day Celebrations.’

UAE National Day is on Saturday, 2nd December 2023.

Design:

The Kilada UAE limited edition is based on Hysek’s Kilada collection – their first collection upon their launch as a brand in 1997. Its avant-garde rectangular design established their ‘unashamedly disruptive approach to watchmaking.’  It ‘perfectly reflects Kilada’s atypical, minimalist and refined style that imposed Hysek’s disruptive vision within the watch industry since the launch of Kilada’s line in 1997 which revolutionised the watch design.’

Its Black Dial has the following design elements:

– An Arabic ‘1’ and ‘11’ numerals, with a UAE Flag between them (at the 12 o’clock position.)

– A big date window between the centre of the dial and the UAE Flag, displayed in two apertures.

– Skeletonised hour and minute hands, and an arrow-shaped second’s hand.

– The colour of the tips of the hour and minute hands, and the seconds hand, correspond to the colours of the UAE Flag.

– Two discreet markers at 3 o’clock and 9 o’clock.

– An ‘H’ between 6 o’clock and the centre of the dial denoting ‘Hysek’. (In the regular Kilada, this space has the power reserve indicator.)

– The lower part of the dial has a representation of the Iconic Dubai Skyline, done by a sticker treatment on the dial.

Case and Movement:

The Kilada UAE limited edition’s avant-garde rectangular case is made of stainless steel and has black PVD element on its front and sides. Its case dimensions are Length 41 mm, Height 51 mm and Thickness 16 mm. It is waterproof to 50 metres. It has a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment. It comes with a rubber strap with or without steel H inserts, and an exclusive Hysek folding clasp.

It is powered by a mechanical automatic calibre, whose functions are hours, minutes, centre seconds, big date, and power reserve. (The power reserve indicator is hidden on this timepiece by the ‘H’ on the dial denoting ‘Hysek’.) The calibre has a Cotes de Geneva finish, comprises of 103 components, has 28 jewels, beats at a frequency of 28,800 VPH, and has a power reserve of 42 hours. The calibre is visible through a sapphire caseback.
