The innovative Mavericks of Time exhibition returns for a second time

What is the Mavericks of Time exhibition?

Mavericks of Time is a biennial horology exhibition focused on independent watchmaking. A Middle East based event, the first edition was held during early November 2004 at the same venue in Abu Dhabi. The second edition promises “bringing together a leading line-up of independent watchmakers for a two-day celebration of creativity, craftsmanship and contemporary horology.”

It is an initiative of Ahmed Seddiqi, also the organisers of the biennial Dubai Watch Week.

What are a few of the exhibition’s unique features?

The second edition will feature The Exchange and The Seddiqi Vault.

The Exchange “will serve as a meeting point for collectors, experts and the curious, creating space for the exchange of knowledge, stories and perspectives while encouraging discovery, conversation and connection beyond the timepiece itself.”

The Seddiqi Vault, a key part of the exhibition’s experience, “will showcase four distinct expressions of the Maverick: Haute Horology, Mechanical, Contemporary and Heritage.”
