What is the new DB25 Digitale?

It is a latest and updated version of De Bethune’s jumping hours watch, the last one being the DB28 Digitale that was launched in 2014. It features jumping hours, analogue minutes and a spherical moon-phase display housed in a titanium dial and case. It is a Geneva Watch Days launch, held during 2^nd – 6^th September 2026.

What are its dial and case features?

Blued titanium dial with random guilloche. De Bethune Innovation (2023). The spherical moon-phase display is made from palladium and flame blued steel. The silvered minute sector ring features a hand-guilloché barleycorn pattern. The fixed ring surrounding the spherical-moon-phase display and fixed outer ring are made from polished and blued Grade 5 titanium. They are adorned with grey gold-stars.

“Eighty-two elements combine to create this contemplative tableau. Every detail, from the starlit sky to the guillochage, contributes to its sense of serenity and wonder. The barleycorn motif evokes the language of classical watchmaking, while the random guilloché on blued titanium introduces a distinctly contemporary expression.”

Its case is made from polished Grade 5 titanium, measuring 42 mm (diameter) * 11.9 mm (thickness). Dial side and polished Grade 5 titanium caseback feature sapphire crystals (1,800 Vickers hardness) with anti-reflective coating on both sides. Water resistant up to 3 ATM or approximately 30 metres. The watch comes with a dark blue hand-stitched extra-supple alligator leather strap (with alligator lining) fitted with a polished Grade 5 titanium pin buckle.

Is the movement’s balance wheel made from titanium?

Yes. The DB25 Digitale is powered by DB2144V3, an in-house hand-wound movement that drives the jumping hours (aperture at 12 o’clock), analogue minutes (anti-clockwise rotating disc at 6 o’clock) and central spherical moon-phase display (inclined at 60°).

It measures 30 mm (diameter), comprises 416 parts and 32 jewels, beats at a modern frequency of 4 Hz or 28,800 vph and delivers a power reserve of 120 hours or 5 days
