The MINI Cooper Oxford Edition has been launched in India as a CBU at Rs 55.50 lakh (ex-showroom). It is a limited-edition model of MINI’s premium three-door hatchback, commissioned to celebrate 25 years of modern MINI production at the BMW Group’s Plant Oxford in the United Kingdom.
Although the original MINI began production at the Oxford plant in 1959 and continued there until 1968, production later shifted to other facilities. The Oxford plant resumed producing MINI Coopers again in 2001 under BMW’s ownership.
MINI has positioned the Oxford Edition as a more distinctive version of the MINI Cooper S three-door hatchback, focusing on exclusive styling elements, additional equipment and details inspired by the brand’s British heritage.
The special edition is designed on the existing Cooper S platform, combining its established performance credentials with Oxford Edition’s distinctive styling and additional equipment.
