The Porsche 911 is a timeless car. The 992 variant has won the hearts and minds of everyone across the globe. Everyone can identify the 911 from miles away, so etched is the shape and silhouette of that car in our minds. But like any Porsches these days, the 911 has many variants to choose from. Starting at the base is the Porsche 911 Carrera and finishing at the top of the range is the 911 Turbo S. In the middle, you have cabriolet and Targa versions for those who favour lifestyle options. And for the track demons, then there are the GT cars that are almost impossible to get.

Bang in the middle of this wide array of 911s sits the GTS. The GTS is harder than the regular Carreras, has more power, has more sporty options derived from the Turbo cars and is not as expensive. It pretty much has the best of everything that Porsche can offer for the 911 range.

It offers the performance, build quality, looks and features that customers have come to expect from Porsche. It also is good enough that customers who are interested in buying the Porsche GT3 Touring might just change their minds and go for the GTS. Also, you can spec it with a manual gearbox!

We thoroughly tested the GTS over the three days we had the car. We drove it in city traffic and highways and took it to Jebel Jais, which is one of the best driving roads in the world.
