Vacheron Constantin (VC) recently launched a new Certified Pre-Owned Programme.
VC, part of the Richemont Group, is based in Geneva, Switzerland. Founded in 1755, it is the oldest continuous watchmaker in existence. Together with Audemars Piguet and Patek Philippe, it is part of the Holy Trinity. VC celebrates its 270th anniversary this year.

Each watch comes with a two-year international warranty.

Our Thoughts
As I wrote in my article on Laurent Perves, VC is no “ordinary” watch brand. They are the oldest continuous watchmaker with a heritage that is second to none. In its 269 years of history, they have created some of the most gorgeous, complicated, and spectacular timepieces. These include (but not limited to) the Packard (1919), the Boisrouvray (1948), the King Fouad (1929), the King Farouk (1935), Kallista (1979), Tour de l’lle (2005), 57260 (2015), and Berkley Grand Complication (2024). In addition, their watches are among the most beautiful in the world, and their movement finishing is considered second to none.
It is a huge deal when VC, with its history and prestige, decides to launch a Certified Pre-Owned Programme. While their pre-owned watches are available at reputable world-class secondary market platforms, the added confidence and security that comes from purchasing from VC itself is second to none. Audemars Piguet and Rolex launched similar programmes.
It is a great way to enter the phenomenal world of VC, more so if the price of the pre-owned watch is “relatively affordable,” compared to prices of new VC watches. The programme makes one a “VC customer” (especially if bought at VC Boutiques), paving the way towards allocations for sought after and hard-to-get models (my guess).
VC watches, such as the discontinued yet enticing second-generation Overseas Chronograph (the one in the pictures), will be available in this programme. Exciting times ahead for VC.
