Vacheron Constantin reopens its boutique in Mall of the Emirates

Vacheron Constantin has reopened its boutique in the Mall of the Emirates in Dubai. Founded in 1755, Vacheron Constantin is the oldest continuous watchmaker in existence. They celebrate their 270th birthday next year.

“The boutique has been thoughtfully expanded to create a space that reflects the Maison’s unwavering quest for excellence and exquisite craftsmanship while embracing the richness of the local culture. This special occasion is marked by an exclusive collaboration with Tashkeel and HH Sheikha Lateefa bint Maktoum bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who contributed a bespoke art installation titled “Home.” ” 

The newly renovated boutique blends the brand’s horological excellence with the local culture of the Middle East.

Private Salon: A luxurious and cosy space “inspired by traditional Majlis, adorned with Bedouin tapestry accents.”  Visitors are welcome to “immerse themselves” in the world of Vacheron Constantin here.

Les Cabinotiers library: A “hidden gem”  inside the private salon that allows visitors to learn about the processes behind the brand’s exceptional watches. Les Cabinotiers is the brand’s department dedicated to personalised and one-of-a-kind watches, the latter either the brand’s own creation or commissioned by a client.

“Clients can discover drawers that reveal sketches, views of legendary calibers, and insights into meìtiers d’art such as enameling, gemsetting, guillochage, and engraving.”

Bespoke art piece: Titled “Home,” it was created by Her Highness Sheikha Lateefa bint Maktoum bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Founder and Director of Tashkeel in Dubai. It was subsequently recreated as an artwork by the Tasmeem Tashkeel Art & Design Collective and is printed on stainless steel metal.

“This captivating piece offers a tranquil glimpse into the Dubai desert, featuring symbols like the falcon, Arabian gazelles, and Ghaf trees that evoke resilience, freedom and, are symbolic of cultural heritage. The piece reflects the delicate balance between the UAE’s native wildlife and the landscape while contemplating the interplay between nature and human influence.”

Our Thoughts

Vacheron Constantin is among my favorite watch brands (top five for sure), and one I am quite familiar with. When I lived in Singapore a few years ago, I was invited to their events, often held in one of their two boutiques. The brand also hosted me during Watches and Wonders held in Hong Kong in 2015. I can personally attest to their exceptional client experience. They constantly strive to improve their boutiques and client experience. The UAE is one of Vacheron Constantin’s key worldwide markets, both for local and international clients. The newly renovated boutique in the Mall of the Emirates is the perfect setting for them to immerse themselves in the world of this phenomenal brand.
