Oris unveils a new dial version of its legendary Divers watch

• The Divers Date is now presented in a military-inspired Olive Green dial. • Housed in a stainless steel case with a ceramic bezel, it is water resistant up to 200 metres or 660 feet.

What is the new Oris Divers Date in Olive Green?

It is an Olive Green dial version of Oris’s Divers Date, a watch that can trace its lineage to the brand’s 1965 original. The Olive Green shade is inspired by “vintage military equipment.”

What are its dial features?

Image: The Divers Date is a foundational model in the brand’s catalogue. With its new Olive Green dial, it comes across as a no nonsense watch. 200 metres or 660 feet is really deep, a depth unlikely to be met by most owners. The date window at 6 o’clock provides aesthetic balance. I like the design of the applied circular hour-markers.

Caseback is screwed to the main case and features a mineral glass providing a view of the Calibre 733-1. Water resistant up to 20 bar / 200 metres / 660 feet.

The Divers Date in Olive Green evokes vibes of a serious watch with a mission, one that could be worn by members of a military special forces unit. Being an Oris, it promises top-notch quality and construction, ample water resistance, a dependable automatic movement, versatility because of its metal bracelet and rubber strap, and obtainability at an affordable price point. It is a compelling addition to the brand’s catalogue.
