In a step that signals the start of the final preparation phase for the start of series production, the first all-electric X models of the Neue Klasse class have left the production line for testing ahead of commercial production in late 2025.
The integration of the new models into the plant begins with the production of semi-series vehicles—an important step in preparing for series production in Debrecen. As part of this process, the test vehicles go through all the production steps. This also means that all logistics, manufacturing equipment, and processes carried out by the plant employees must run smoothly. These processes are just as complex as in actual series production. Despite the limited number of parts, they still have to be provided in the appropriate logistics processes.
Materials and vehicle parts are delivered to the Debrecen plant daily, and the test vehicles roll off the production line continuously. Every part and every step of the production process is closely checked. Particular attention is paid to validating the advanced production systems and tools, including digital connectivity.
Running system tests for the future vehicle model helps identify further potential for improvement. Based on the insights gained, the focus will be on improving processes in the coming months.
New employees will also undergo intensive training on installations and machinery during this phase. Close collaboration across all areas of production will ensure seamless process integration for a smooth and successful launch of the series.
