What is the Samba OG x Mercedes-Benz?

The adidas Samba OG x Mercedes-Benz is a limited-edition version of the classic adidas Samba OG. It also marks the start of a strategic partnership between the two brands, and both say more joint projects will follow.

The shoe first surfaced in late January. At the time, the carmaker opened its 140 Years of Innovation anniversary by presenting the new S-Class to the world. Eight months later, the shoe is almost ready to launch.

What does the Samba OG x Mercedes-Benz look like?

The design mixes cues from both brands. On the upper, the stitching follows the diamond pattern found inside the S-Class. Meanwhile, the Mercedes-Benz logo runs across the tongue. According to the carmaker, the shoe pairs leather with a structured textile inspired by its car interiors.

The colour palette uses the monochromatic shades Magic Beige, Grey Five and Black. The Samba itself began life on the football pitch. Over the decades, however, it has become a style classic worldwide.
