What is the Cloudsoma PAF?
The Cloudsoma PAF is the centrepiece of Current Form 5.0. This collection brings On and POST ARCHIVE FACTION (PAF) full circle after six seasons together. PAF took On’s Cloudsoma, a natural-sensation trail running shoe, and then ran it through its own avant-garde lens. As a result, the Cloudsoma PAF looks more like sculpture than sportswear, yet it keeps its running credentials. On sells it as a limited edition in both men’s and women’s sizes.
What inspired the Cloudsoma PAF?
Rock formations sit at the heart of the design. PAF co-founder and creative director Dongjoon Lim spotted them while hiking in Switzerland’s Engadin region. The idea he took from them is simple: nature can look chaotic, yet it still holds its own quiet order. That thought shapes every panel of the Cloudsoma PAF. Rough meets smooth, and stillness meets speed, so wild nature and precise design share one conversation. The upper seems to move even at rest.
What technology does the Cloudsoma PAF use?
Beneath the sculpted look sits serious On engineering. The CloudTec Connect cushioning system flexes with the foot’s natural movement, so runners get an intuitive feel for the ground. Helion HF foam adds high energy return and comfort, while a Missiongrip outsole keeps control on uneven terrain. On UAE lists a 6mm heel-to-toe drop and maximum cushioning.
The upper matters just as much. Its high-abrasion, quick-drying build wraps the foot in a sock-style construction for a precise hold. Swirling lines, fluid patterns and asymmetrical lacing echo the rhythms of nature. Although the Cloudsoma PAF draws on trail running, On tunes it for lasting comfort on city streets.

What is On x PAF Current Form 5.0?
Current Form is the running project On and PAF have shaped over the past two years. Current Form 5.0 is its latest chapter. The idea took shape in 2023, when Lim visited On in Zurich and drifted down the River Limmat with the team. The current fascinated him because it carried real force without any visible form. He began to ask how a still object, like a shoe, could suggest that same motion.
Since then, the partnership has produced around 30 running pieces across six collections, starting with the Cloudmonster 2 PAF. Now, the Cloudsoma PAF brings that story full circle.

What is the On x PAF stone loop in Tenerife?
On and PAF chose to mark this moment with something that lasts. Together with land artist Strijdom van der Merwe, they created a circular stone installation on the Spanish island of Tenerife. Van der Merwe shaped it from the island’s own volcanic rock, and it will serve as a permanent trail loop for runners. The loop will change with time and use, honouring the past while leaving room for new ideas. Like the Cloudsoma PAF, it pairs stone with movement.
A campaign and a short documentary also celebrate the monument. Across three parts, the film moves from past to present to future. It opens with Lim arranging pieces from earlier collections into a circular display. Van der Merwe then builds the loop in Tenerife, and athletes run the finished trail at the close.
How much does the Cloudsoma PAF cost in the UAE?
In the UAE, the Cloudsoma PAF costs AED 1,250 including VAT. It launched on 3 September 2026 through the official website and select retail partners. Buyers can choose from three colourways: Cobble/Raven (brown and black), Black/Black and Haze/Linen (yellow and beige). As a limited edition, the Cloudsoma PAF qualifies for refunds but not exchanges at On UAE. On rates the fit as true to size, so check the size chart before you order.
