Jaguar F-Type 75 is the final model tribute to the sports car

The Jaguar F-Type 75 features subtle design changes to the cabin and exterior

2022 is a sad year for petrolheads. A host of iconic nameplates in the business bowed out this year. The most recent cases are Lamborghini rolling out the final unit of the Aventador and Audi releasing commemorative editions for the R8 supercar and the TT sportscar. And now, Jaguar joins the list with the release of the F-Type 75, the final model year of the British sports car.

On sale in early 2023, the F-Type 75 features subtle detail changes to the Jaguar sports car. The commemorative F-Type 75 Special Edition gets launched to celebrate 75 years of Jaguar sports cars since the XK120’s launch in 1948. The brand believes these “exclusive models are a fitting celebration of internal combustion engine performance before Jaguar becomes a pure electric modern luxury brand from 2025.”

The final model year iteration receives discreet changes on the exterior and the interior. For instance, the wheel centres and grille badge changed from red to black, and the R and R-Dynamic badge accent colours are now black and grey instead of red and green. The front fenders obtain discreet F-Type 75 and F-Type R 75 badging on the front fenders, unique to this model year.

The commemorative occasion sees Jaguar offer 20-inch wheels as standard across the range. However, the F-Type 75 and F-Type R 75 trim levels benefit from the fitment of gloss black, five-spoke and gloss black diamond-turned 10-spoke designs, respectively.

The F-Type continues to boast a driver-oriented interior. The ‘1+1’cockpit features a 12.3-inch reconfigurable Interactive Driver Display while the air vents deploy upon startup. Unique silhouette motifs can be found on the Engine Spin central console finisher and steel tread plates of the commemorative models. This new model further gains from performance-designed lightweight slimline seats, Windsor leather upholstery, and an ebony suede cloth headliner being offered as standard.

While the standard F-Type utilises monotube dampers, the F-Type 75 and F-Type 75 R benefit from Jaguar’s Adaptive Dynamics system with Configurable Dynamics. The latter duo allows the driver to configure the ride comfort and the responsiveness of throttle response and gearshifts.

The base R-Dynamic F-Type makes use of a 295hp 2.0-litre Ingenium four-cylinder engine. However, the F-Type 75 and F-Type 75 R can be had with a 5.0-litre supercharged V8 engine, producing 443hp in the former and 567hp in the latter performance-spec version. The nought to 96kph takes 3.5secs in the R with the top speed limited to 300kph.

The first customer deliveries begin from January 2023, when the British marquee completes 75 years in the sports car manufacturing business.
