G-Power-ed BMW M3 Touring Can Hit 322Kmph

The tuner offers three levels of performance upgrades.

It was only a matter of time before we got a tuned BMW M3 Touring from G-Power. And the wait is over! What you see here is called the G-Power G3M Bi-Turbo Touring. Sure, that isn’t the easiest name to remember, but there’s so much more to it than that.

Obviously, we start with the performance upgrades. In standard specification, the BMW M3 Touring offers 510hp/650Nm from its twin-turbocharged 3.0-litre straight-six. With that as the baseline, the German tuning house has developed three levels of tunes. The top-tier option boosts the output to 720hp/850Nm, an increment of 210hp/200Nm over the standard car. Alongside, the top speed is increased to 322kmph. G-Power’s Performance Software GP-720 is the catalyst, and so is the custom exhaust system that reduces exhaust backpressure and optimises gas flow. The latter is rounded off with 200-cell metal catalytic converters, a centre and rear muffler and two 100mm or 110mm carbon-coated outlets.

If that stage of tune sounds a bit much, one could settle for one of the other two. The mid-stage option increases the power to 670hp/800Nm, whereas the entry-level will bump the standard figures to 620hp/750Nm. The former uses the Deeptone exhaust system with a centre and rear muffler. On the other hand, the latter utilises a rear muffler alone with the same exhaust system.

Complementing the oomph upgrades are the Hurricane RS forged rims, measuring 20 inches at the front and 21 at the rear. Accompanying them are 285/30 and 295/25 tyres, respectively. The G3M Bi-Turbo Touring also comes with a Venturti RS carbon bonnet, which, according to the tuner, optimises thermal management in the engine bay. In addition, the car dons a bright green paint, just like Marvel’s Hulk. Finally, the front apron corners are adorned with GP-Shuriken carbon attachments. And as far as the interior is concerned, G-Power has included an edition badge and own-branded carpets. In addition, options such as a carbon steering wheel with LEDs are available.

So, there you have it. I’m a massive fan of properly-tuned M3s. And G-Power-ed M3 Touring is one tasty prospect. But if it were you, would you connect with G-Power or the Swiss tuner dAHLer, who recently unveiled its version of a spruced-up M3 Touring?
