Ferrari’s new 12Cilindri Manuale may have introduced three pedals and a gated shifter, but owners of the regular 12Cilindri Spider needn’t feel their cars have suddenly become yesterday’s news. Novitec has unveiled an extensive collection of upgrades for the open-top grand tourer, and they are far more than consolation prizes for Manuale FOMO.
The German specialist has resisted the temptation to smother the Ferrari in wings and vents. Instead, its package combines functional carbon-fibre aerodynamics, forged wheels, a lower stance and several exhaust options. The result preserves the 12Cilindri’s character while giving it greater presence.
Novitec Ferrari 12Cilindri Spider: Carbon Fibre Without The Theatre
The 12Cilindri continues a distinguished line of front-engined Ferrari V12 grand tourers stretching through the 812 Superfast, F12berlinetta and 599 GTB. Its design also draws inspiration from the wedge-shaped 365 GTB/4 Daytona, making restraint particularly important when modifying it.
Novitec’s aerodynamic components were developed to sharpen the car without disturbing its stately proportions. The collection includes a front splitter, trim for the bumper intakes and side gills, more pronounced side skirts, mirror caps, a rear diffuser and a subtle lip spoiler.
All are produced in high-gloss exposed carbon fibre. Novitec says the components are aerodynamically functional, managing airflow and improving stability rather than merely adding expensive decoration.

Forged Vossen Wheels And A Lower Stance
The visual centrepiece is a set of Novitec NF12 forged wheels developed with Vossen. Their Y-spoke design and centre-lock-style hub covers bring a motorsport influence without going over the top.
The staggered setup places 21-inch wheels at the front and 22-inch wheels at the rear. Customers can also choose from the NF9, NF10 and NF11 designs, with multiple finishes available.
Novitec’s sports suspension lowers the Ferrari by 30mm, reducing the space above those enormous wheels and giving the Spider a more purposeful stance. Aluminium spacers and a set of ten titanium wheel bolts are also offered.
It looks lower, wider and considerably more serious, although speed bumps may now require the sort of careful negotiation usually reserved for international diplomacy.
The V12 Remains Untouched
Novitec has left the naturally aspirated 6.5-litre V12 largely alone. It continues to produce 819hp and 678Nm, sent to the rear wheels through an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission.
The engine revs to 9,500rpm, launches the 12Cilindri Spider from 0-100km/h in under 2.9 seconds and takes it beyond 340km/h. Novitec instead adds an exposed-carbon engine cover and dual air-filter boxes to dress up the mechanical spectacle beneath the long bonnet.
A Gold-Plated Voice For The V12
The headline mechanical upgrade is Novitec’s signature exhaust system. Customers can select power-optimised systems made from stainless steel or lightweight F1-grade Inconel, complete with electronically controlled butterfly valves.
Novitec also offers sports metal catalysts, an X-pipe, electronic valve-control modules and replacement tailpipes in matte black or gold. For maximum extravagance, the Inconel system can be plated in 999 fine gold, which improves heat dissipation while making the underside almost as lavish as the cabin.
Speaking of which, Novitec can retrim the interior in leather and Alcantara in virtually any colour combination. Pricing remains undisclosed, but anyone commissioning a gold-plated exhaust probably stopped checking the calculator several options ago.
The Manuale may deliver a more analogue driving experience, but Novitec’s 12Cilindri Spider has its own appeal. This is a thoughtful evolution of Ferrari’s V12 flagship: faster-looking, louder and beautifully finished without losing the elegance that made the original special.
