Sunreef Yachts and BRABUS have revealed the BRABUS Ultima 55, the first luxury catamaran to emerge from their partnership. It carries the BRABUS design language onto the water, and it does so on a platform Sunreef Yachts already knows well.
What is the BRABUS Ultima 55?
The BRABUS Ultima 55 measures 17 metres (55.8 ft) in overall length and 5.6 metres (18.4 ft) in overall beam. Sunreef Yachts handled the naval architecture, while BRABUS handled the design.
The thinking behind it is simple. A catamaran gives you space and stability, though a monohull gives you sharper agility. This yacht aims to deliver both at once, so owners get the deck room of a multihull without the softer handling that usually comes with it.
How fast is the BRABUS Ultima 55?
Two six-cylinder engines power the BRABUS Ultima 55, and each one produces 533 kW (725 hp) for a combined 1,450 hp, enough to push the catamaran past 40 knots or roughly 74 km/h.
Speed alone is not the story, however. The way the yacht holds itself at that pace matters just as much.

How does the BRABUS Ultima 55 foiling system work?
An advanced hydrofoil system sits beneath the hulls. As the BRABUS Ultima 55 gathers pace, the foils generate lift, raising the hulls higher out of the water.
Less hull in the water means less drag. The catamaran also holds virtually zero heel, so the deck stays flat. As a result, the ride turns smoother and quieter, and the boat feels closer to flying than cruising.
What does the BRABUS Ultima 55 look like?
BRABUS built the exterior concept around exposed carbon fibre. The yacht wears a signature Graphite Black finish, though buyers can specify Phantom Gray instead.
Carbon front and rear wings sharpen the profile. Pillars carry illuminated BRABUS logos, while ventilation trims sit on the port and starboard sides. A custom roof rack and exposed carbon fibre LED roof lights then add both function and a lighting signature you can read from a distance. Owners finish the look with exterior upholstery in BRABUS Graphite, BRABUS Red or BRABUS Pearl.

What is on the BRABUS Ultima 55 aft deck?
The aft deck serves as the main outdoor living space. Lateral folding platforms drop on both sides, stretching the beam from 5.6 metres (18.4 ft) to 7.6 metres (24.9 ft), thereby opening up a much wider stern terrace.
Esthec covers the deck because it resists wear, requires little maintenance, and grips underfoot in wet or dry conditions. Large transformer sunpads sit at the centre and fold into settees when guests want to sit upright, while an extendable carbon-fibre table handles dining and then retracts to free up floor space. An electric barbecue and wet bar sit within reach of the seating. A second large sunpad waits at the bow for anyone who wants quiet away from the party.
What is the BRABUS Ultima 55 interior like?
Inside, the saloon borrows directly from BRABUS supercars. Seats, sofas and select surfaces wear BRABUS Moonstone Masterpiece leather with the brand’s Triangle stitching pattern. Alcantara lines the ceiling, while exposed carbon fibre runs through the helm station, the helm seats and individual trim pieces.
The floor adds aluminium accents with illuminated BRABUS logos, and bespoke ambient lighting lets owners set the mood across the space. At the helm, a widescreen navigation and control station consolidates navigation data, vessel monitoring, and onboard functions into a single interface with a dedicated BRABUS user interface design. Because everything lives on a single display, the crew manages key systems without having to hunt through menus.
The galley handles real cooking rather than reheating, with an induction cooktop, an electric oven and proper cold storage. A 43-inch television rises out of the countertop on an electric lift, then disappears again when nobody needs it. Height-adjustable tables reshape the saloon for dining or open space, and a Bowers & Wilkins Marine Series sound system handles the audio.
How many guests can the BRABUS Ultima 55 sleep?
The catamaran offers two accommodation layouts. The standard version pairs one primary suite with one VIP stateroom and one crew cabin, so it sleeps four guests plus one crew member. The alternative version swaps in three guest cabins alongside the crew cabin, which takes the BRABUS Ultima 55 up to six guests plus one crew member. Curated wood veneers and carbon fibre accents run through the interiors.
What are the technical specifications of the BRABUS Ultima 55?
Twin 533 kW (725 hp) six-cylinder engines drive the catamaran to a maximum speed of 40 knots, while a 10.5 kW generator covers the onboard electrical load. Maximum draft sits at 1.4 metres (4.6 ft). Tankage runs to 1,500 litres of fuel and 330 litres of fresh water. The yacht carries a B-12/C-20 classification and berths either four or six guests plus one crew member, depending on the layout.
