Audi India Had A Strong 2023

In the first nine months of 2023, Audi India registered a sales growth of 88 per cent. Now, with the calendar flipping over to 2024, the Indian arm of the German carmaker has announced its performance for the whole of 2023. After selling 2,401 units in the last quarter of the previous year, which accounted for a 94 per cent increase over the same period of 2022, the company closed 2023 with a robust 89 per cent growth. In the whole year, it retailed 7,931 new vehicles nationwide. Three new model launches, along with limited editions of the Q8, Q5 and S5, helped Audi India post its highest annual sales since 2015.

Audi India confirms that its SUV range sales grew by 174 per cent, whereas the demand for performance and lifestyle models, including the e-tron range, increased by 40 per cent. In fact, one in every four customers Audi India catered to in 2023 was a repeat customer.

Its pre-owned car business – Audi Approved: plus – also clocked strong sales. Compared to 2022, the brand sold 62 per cent more used vehicles in 2023. The company currently has 25 ‘Audi Approved: plus’ outlets in India. The count will go up in 2024.

Besides having a portfolio of seventeen cars, Audi India has a range of customer-centric after-sales offerings. The ‘ChargeMyAudi’ feature in the myAudiConnect application comes in handy to plan longer journeys in an EV. Powered by Numocity Technologies’ eMSP roaming platform, it currently includes five partners – Aargo EV Smart, Charge Zone, Relux Electric, LionCharge and Zeon Charging. Until March 2024, consumers will benefit from complimentary charging across the network, which includes over 1,000 charging points.

Also, the opening of India’s first ultra-fast charging station at Mumbai BKC (Bandra Kurla Complex) bolstered the brand’s stature in the industry. Established in collaboration with ChargZone, the charging station has a total capacity of 450kW to deliver 360kW of charging power.
