Audi Q5 Limited Edition Launched In India

Based on the Technology variant, it comes in an exclusive black shade mated with an easy-on-the-eyes brown interior.

The festive fever really has kicked in at Audi India! Hot on the heels of the Q8 Limited Edition, the carmaker has introduced a similar version of the Q5. Meet the Audi Q5 Limited Edition, available only for a short period. The derivative is based on the Technology variant and has a sticker price of INR 69.72 lakh. Simple math reveals a premium of INR 1.50 lakh.

So, what are you paying the extra amount for? First of all, there’s the exclusive Mythos Black exterior colour. Further upping the sporty quotient is the Black Styling Plus package. That means the front grille, the four-ring logo, window surrounds, and the roof rails are all black. Also, the vertical struts within the Singleframe grille add to the theatrics. Coupled with all that blackness is an interior bathed in Okapi Brown shade.

Buyers of the Audi Q5 Limited Edition will also get the option of a pre-defined accessories package. That includes dynamic hub caps, stainless steel pedal caps, Audi valve caps, Quattro decals and puddle lamps with the Audi logo.

The rest of the package is taken as is from the donor derivative. That means under the bonnet is a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine that puts out 265hp/370Nm, enough for a 0-100kmph sprint time of 6.1 seconds and a top speed of 240kmph. The job of transmission is handled by a 7-speed dual-clutch affair. And the Quattro all-wheel-drive system ensures little of that available oomph goes to waste. The adaptive suspension with damping control keeps things in control.

The Audi Q5 Limited Edition comes loaded with creature comforts, including eight airbags, powered front seats with a memory function of the driver, a wireless mobile charger, three-zone automatic climate control and 30-colour ambient lighting. Other features, such as a 19-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a panoramic glass roof, are also available.

For that added flamboyance, the Audi Q5 Limited Edition does justify the premium it demands. All it has to do is lure customers away from the BMW X3, Volvo XC60 and the Mercedes-Benz GLC.
