Audi Q8 Limited Edition Launched In India

It is powered by a turbocharged 3.0-litre petrol engine and an 8-speed automatic transmission.

The Indian arm of the German carmaker Audi has launched a new version of the Q8. It’s called the Q8 Limited Edition, conceived specially for this year’s festive period. As the name suggests, the newly-launched derivative, priced at INR 1.18 crore (ex-showroom), won’t be available for long.

The Audi Q8 Limited Edition comes with the S-line exterior package. The black styling package further accentuates the sporty look, while the 21-inch alloy wheels fill the wheel arches beautifully. The panoramic sunroof, frameless doors and Matrix LED tech make the whole package extremely desirable. Audi will offer the Q8 Limited Edition in three colours – Mythos Black, Glacier White and Daytona Grey.

Powering the Audi Q8 Limited Edition is a 3.0-litre turbocharged engine that produces 340hp/500Nm. Also, a 48-volt mild-hybrid system is in the mix, which aids the engine and helps improve fuel efficiency. An 8-speed automatic transmission harnesses and feeds the oomph to the wheels via a potent Quattro all-wheel-drive system. As a result, the crossover can hit 100kmph from nothing in 5.9 seconds and clock 250kmph flat out.

The features list is impressive. It includes four-zone automatic climate control, a Bang & Olufsen sound system, a digital instrument cluster, a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, an 8.6-inch secondary display for car controls, a wireless mobile charger and smartphone integration support. The Audi Q8 Limited Edition also packs eight airbags, Audi Pre-Sense (basic), Audi Park Assist with Parking Aid Plus, a rear-view camera and an electronic stabilisation program.

There’s no denying that the Audi Q8 is a good-looking car, and in its Limited Edition form, it offers a good balance between sportiness and comfort. In the same sort of price range, there are other options like the Land Rover Defender, Mercedes-Benz GLE, BMW X5 and the Volvo XC90. One could even consider taking the EV route, with cars like the Jaguar I-Pace, BMW iX and the Audi Q8 e-tron. So, of the lot, which one are you taking home?
