Polestar UAE acquires limited slots for the Polestar 6 LA Concept
This 500-unit electric roadster got sold out within a week of its announcement
The Polestar 6 LA Concept, a 500-unit-only electric roadster, witnessed an overwhelming response in build slot reservations since its debut in August 2022. UAE car enthusiasts shall be pleased to note that a limited allocation for this exclusive EV is also available for UAE customers.
Al Futtaim Trading Enterprises, Polestar’s sole dealer representative in the UAE, has confirmed a limited allocation within the 500-production run for this initial Polestar 6 LA Concept edition batch. Interested customers can reserve their build allocation on a first-come, first serve basis by registering on the link attached here. Though, buyers should note that deliveries won’t take place before 2026.
For the unaware, the Polestar 6 LA Concept is an exclusive initial version of Polestar 6, which itself is the production-spec of the Polestar O2 concept car. Available in a unique Sky blue exterior, the LA Concept is said to feature a host of features that debuted on the O2 concept car.
The strong demand for the electric roadster has coerced the brand to push for the production of the standard Polestar 6 as well. Reservations for the same are expected to open later in 2022, with production plans commencing after the 500-unit LA Concept iterations are done away with.
“The high interest from our customers shows that a stunning electric roadster like Polestar 6 has high relevance in the sportscar arena,” comments Thomas Ingenlath, Polestar CEO. “The open-top-plus-electric combination is clearly one that appeals to even the most die-hard petrolheads.”
The Swiss carmaker has plans to launch four new EVs within the next five years. The first of the lot would comprise the Polestar 3 – the brand’s first electric SUV in October 2022. The SUV will be followed by an electric SUV Coupe called the Polestar 4 by 2023. Succeeding, it will be the production version of the Precept performance 4-door GT concept car under the Polestar 5 terminology, with the launch of the standard Polestar 6 in 2026 following suit.
The Polestar 6 LA Concept made its public debut at The Quail, a motorsports gathering and Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance event in California. The overwhelming response since its production announcement saw all build units receive reservations within a week.
