Lexus RZ500e and ES500e Launched in UAE: Range, Horsepower, and Features

Al-Futtaim Lexus has launched its first fully electric vehicles in the UAE, the RZ500e SUV and ES500e sedan. ​ The RZ500e has 375 BHP, DIRECT4 all-wheel drive, and a claimed WLTP range of up to 460 km. The ES500e has 338 BHP of power and an estimated range of 465 km. ​ The new-generation ES also comes in a hybrid variant: the ES350h, with 244 BHP and a claimed fuel economy of about 27.7 km/l.

Lexus has launched the RZ500e and ES500e in the United Arab Emirates, marking the country’s first-ever launch of a fully electric Lexus vehicle. Al-Futtaim announced the launch on 8 October 2026. The new additions to the Lexus UAE lineup include the RZ500e electric SUV, the ES500e electric sedan, and the ES350h hybrid.

What are the performance specifications of the Lexus RZ500e?

The Lexus RZ500e is an all-electric SUV featuring dual electric motors with a combined 375 BHP. It has DIRECT4 all-wheel drive, which adjusts power distribution between the front and rear axles.

The vehicle has a 74.6 kWh battery and a claimed WLTP range of up to 460 km. The manufacturer claims it can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 4.6 seconds.

The charging options include a three-phase 22 kW AC onboard charger and CCS2 DC fast charging. With a 22 kW AC charger, you can charge the battery from 10% to 100% in four hours, while a 150 kW DC charger can charge it from 10% to 80% in half an hour. Charging time depends on battery temperature and charging conditions.

Which equipment and safety features are available in the RZ500e model?

The RZ500e features ventilated front seats, heated front and rear seats, and a 13-speaker Mark Levinson Premium Surround Sound System. Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 provides a set of assistance and safety functions.

The RZ500e SUV offers six single-tone and four two-tone exterior colours, plus three interior colour options.

 

Which powertrain options are available for the new Lexus ES model?

The new Lexus ES is available in two powertrain types: a battery-electric version (ES500e) and a hybrid variant (ES350h).

The battery-electric version has 338 BHP with an all-wheel-drive option. The estimated WLTP driving range is around 465 km. In real life, it depends on driving style, climate conditions, traffic, and other factors.

The ES350h has 244 BHP and is available with front-wheel or all-wheel drive. It consumes 1 litre every 27.7 km, making it an interesting alternative for those who don’t want an electric car.

Which technology and comfort features does the new ES have?

The new ES offers multimedia and a head-up display, plus the optional Mark Levinson Premium Surround Sound System with 17 speakers. Lexus Safety System+ 4.0 is responsible for driver assistance functions. Features include Advanced Park and Panoramic View Monitor.

​The ES500e Platinum DIRECT4 AWD also comes with 21-inch alloy wheels, semi-aniline leather seats, and Adaptive Variable Suspension. The sedan is 5,140 mm long and comes with a 2,950 mm wheelbase.

What charging options and colours are offered?

The ES500e supports three-phase AC charging up to 22 kW using a Type 2 charge plug. DC fast-charging capability and corresponding charging times have not been revealed by the brand.

​There are seven exterior colour options to choose from (including Sou and Sonic Copper) as well as three interior colour options (including white) for both ES500e and ES350h. RZ500e has its own palette of exterior colour combinations, including single- and two-tone finishes.
