Range Rover announces partnership with SailGP for France leg

Customers get invited for a Range Rover House hospitality experience at the Saint-Tropez Harbour

The following weekend September 10th and 11th, will mark a riviera treat for select Range Rover customers as the brand announces a title partnership with the internationally renowned sailing championship SailGP. Owners of the British marquee will be invited to a one-off luxury brand experience – Range Rover House – perched upon the sea wall against the stunning backdrop of the Saint-Tropez Harbour.

SailGP, also known as the world’s most exciting race on water, returns to the French Riviera for the fifth leg of Season 3’s race calendar. Set to take place the following weekend, Range Rover dons the dual hat of being the event’s title sponsor and appearing as the official partner of the France SailGP Team.

An invite for the Range Rover House, an invite-only daytime brand experience, will be extended to select owners across Europe. These guests would be treated to “a unique hospitality offering with curated on water experiences, giving guests the chance to get close to the action as the teams battle for the win.”

Guests will have the opportunity to get behind the wheel of the Range Rover SV extended range plug-in electric hybrid (PHEV). A bespoke track will also be conjured up, right alongside the water with views overlooking the SailGP race, for owners to experience the hybrid SUV. With an EV range of up to 113km (70 miles), Range Rover claims 75 per cent of daily trips can be done with zero emissions.

Laura Wood, Head of Range Rover Brand & Partnerships, said: “It’s fantastic to be back on the water in France with SailGP. Our Range Rover owners and friends travel the world on road and on sea, so this is an incredibly exciting partnership. We have enjoyed a long association with sailing over many years, but we’re particularly excited by SailGP and its commitment to being the first climate-positive sports and entertainment property. It is great to be able to invite our Range Rover owners to experience SailGP first hand through Range Rover House.”
