These Bentley x The Surgeon Sneakers Are Worth Checking Out
The limited-run series is based on the Adidas Forum Low shoes.
It is safe to say that The Surgeon, the brainchild of Dominic Ciambrone, occupies the same sort of space in the footwear industry as Bentley does in the automotive world. The top two qualities that these brands share are luxury and absolute attention to detail. Hence, a joint operation between them should result in something ultra special, correct? Meet the limited-run range of Bentley x The Surgeon Adidas Low Forum sneakers. And when I say limited, the production is restricted to just 10 pairs of three different design lines. Predictably, all of them are currently reserved by Mulliner clients and collectors.
The first design line is what Bentley tags as “A performance focus”. Here, elements inspired by S and Speed Bentleys have been incorporated into the package. And the colour palettes available are Titan Grey and Cricket Ball deep red. Bentley says, “this shoe mimics the performance-ready athletic stance of the Continental GT Speed Convertible”.
Next up is the “A well-being focus” derivative. The design revolves around comfort and well-being. And as per the carmaker, a Portofino blue Bentayga Extended Wheelbase Azure exemplifies this tangent of sneaker design. The shoe is highlighted with Saddle-coloured details inside, with a soft-coloured exterior.
And lastly, there’s the “A pinnacle design” tag. Bentley says this range honours the upcoming bespoke Mulliner collaboration car – a stealth Beluga (Black) and Anthracite (Dark Grey Metallic) exterior with Linen and Beluga interior. More details will surface sometime next month.
Each one of them boasts unique design cues. Some are reminiscent of Bentley’s way of doing things, such as diamond quilting, usage of premium hides and criss-cross stitching, while The Surgeon’s skull-and-scalpel logo adds flamboyance.
At the Art Basel Miami event, the British luxury car brand will unveil the 1-of-1 Bently x The Surgeon vehicle, which paints the picture of this collaboration. Also, one buyer will receive a matching pair of sneakers – the ‘Bentley x The Surgeon Adidas Forum Low.’ Those who are interested in purchasing can get in touch with local US dealers.
