The “Santoni For AMG”-Collection Is Worth Your Time

Just 55 pairs of boots, sneakers and “Raceboxer” for men and women are up for grabs.

If you’re into cars, you must know that 2022 marks the 55th anniversary of Mercedes-AMG. And to celebrate the occasion, it introduced “Edition 55” treatments for multiple models over the past few months. However, even though that exercise was over with the GLE, the celebrations haven’t seized. Actually, they’ve just taken a diversion to liven up the fashion world.

Mercedes-AMG joined forces with an old ally from Italy – Santoni – to create an exclusive footwear collection. They call it a “Capsule Collection”. In it, also called the “Santoni for AMG”-collection, are limited-run boots, sneakers, and “Raceboxer” for men and women. Just 55 pairs (each) are up for grabs, with all iterations bearing “55 Years” and “AMG” logos. And in true Mercedes-AMG tradition, the colour scheme includes black, grey, white and red.

One particular kind that’s properly unique is the unisex “Raceboxer”. It features high upping and lacing, traits found in sports shoes for boxers and racers. Hence the name. And it’s available in two colour variations.

Giuseppe Santoni, who is the CEO at Santoni, says:

The Raceboxer is the reinterpretation of the very first ‘Santoni for AMG’ model we developed in 2007. We designed this racing shoe exclusively for the 55th anniversary of Mercedes‑AMG. It interprets lifestyle and luxury in a very sporty and expressive way, but at the same time it is approved and certified by the FIA for professional racing use.

Besides the “Raceboxer”, the collection includes a lace-up sneaker (in three colour versions) and ankle-high boots. If you want to check them out, head to the Santoni Online Boutique. That’s the only place you’ll be able to buy any of the footwear mentioned above. But, based on the images shown here, which one do you fancy the most?
