The new Enclave is the first Buick to have Super Cruise

I almost forgot Buick existed and here it is driving around by itself

Buick is one of those nameplates that no one remembers exists. GM had a rough go through the Great Recession. They notoriously took the US Government’s bailout money and reorganized through bankruptcy as a new company with the same name. Gone was Saturn. Gone was the Oldsmobile. Pontiac too, was axed. Somehow, Buick remained and is sort of having a genesis at the moment.

Buick released information on the new 2025 Enclave, their flagship model. This new and improved model is the first to come equipped with Super Cruise, which is important because this handsfree technology was first released way back in 2018 with the Cadillac CT6—another brand you half forget exists until you see an Escalade or someone hooning a Blackwing on YouTube. You’d be on the right track if you thought Super Cruise would be available only on the uppermost crust of trims, but no, they’ve given it to even the most peasant attainable low-buck trim levels.

The Enclave is powered by a 2.5L turbocharged four-cylinder producing a sufficient 328 horsepower and 326 lb.-ft of torque and backed by an eight-speed automatic transmission. A front-wheel and all-wheel drive version will be available. Not only is this new Enclave more powerful, longer, wider, and taller than the previous generation, it is more well-appointed and more attractive.

A 30-inch ultra-wide display can be found inside. This Buick even has Automatic Crash Response which is an amazing piece of technology in the event you are incapacitated and need emergency services—or a terrible one if you’ve just drunkenly ended up in a ditch and need to flee. It’s got Blind Zone Steering Assist, Intersection Automatic Emergency Braking, traffic sign recognition, and Lane Keep Assist and Departure Warning. This is the safest Buick you could imagine, a stark contrast from a new Grand National we all wish they’d go build instead.
