What is the RUF EHRA?
The new RUF EHRA has been officially revealed at The Quail in Monterey Car Week, California. It uses the carbon fibre monocoque of RUF as a basis and features widebody styling, a fastback rear body, and wide tracks at both the front and rear.
The RUF EHRA gets new front and rear fascias, five-spoke centre-lock wheels, and an automatic-deployment rear carbon-fibre spoiler with manual control.
What engine and drivetrain is used in the car?
The new RUF EHRA is powered by a 3.6-litre twin-turbocharged boxer six engine producing 650 BHP and approximately 900 Nm of torque. The engine drives all four wheels via a seven-speed manual gearbox and fully variable All Wheel Drive system.
Suspension consists of double wishbones at all four corners with pushrod-actuated adaptive dampers. The suspension setup is designed to combine handling precision and adaptability to regular road conditions.
What is the vehicle design and interior equipment like?
In its first production version, the EHRA has a Liquid Silver body shell made of carbon fibre, titanium pedals, leather seats in natural brown, and matte dark carbon fibre trim. The five-pod instrument panel features RUF Green gauges, while the foldable carbon bucket seats provide greater comfort.
Among other features, the car has LED lighting, electronically deployable door handles, and air intakes integrated into the rear quarter windows. The fastback styling solution does not include a static rear whale tail; instead, a variable rear spoiler provides better aerodynamics.
What other RUF cars are being delivered now?
Apart from the EHRA, at The Quail, RUF is demonstrating the customer deliveries of RODEO, CTR Anniversary, SCR, and CTR3 EVO models.
The RODEO has a 3.6-litre twin-turbo boxer six with 610 BHP, a six-speed manual gearbox, and variable All Wheel Drive. The CTR Anniversary is powered by a 3.6-litre twin-turbo boxer six that delivers 710 BHP with a seven-speed manual gearbox and Rear Wheel Drive.
The naturally aspirated SCR is driven by a 4.0-litre boxer-six engine producing 510 BHP and a redline of 8,750 rpm, with a six-speed manual gearbox powering the rear wheels. The CTR3 EVO has a 3.8-litre boxer six with 800 BHP and a top speed of 380 kmph.
Partnership with HIF on fuel
In addition, RUF works with HIF Global on sustainable fuels. According to the company, all of the vehicles presented during Monterey Car Week, including the EHRA, will run on HIF eFuels. These fuels are generated from renewable energy and carbon dioxide.
