Range Rover House hosts the unveil of the Range Rover SV Bespoke Sadaf Edition

The British marquee’s exclusive lifestyle event also invited influential women of the Middle East region for panel discussions

The Range Rover brand exudes a certain elegant and luxury lifestyle that it aims to encapsulate and provide in its cars. The brand also hosts an event to portray the same curated lifestyle under the Range Rover House banner across the most prominent global cities. For the first time, Range Rover House opened its doors in Abu Dhabi to offer curated modern experiences to its select guests which further culminated in the reveal of the Range Rover SV Bespoke Sadaf Edition. The Cornea Impression was invited to this exclusive brand experience as well.

Limited to 20 exclusive examples, the Range Rover SV Bespoke Sadaf Edition is exclusive to the Middle East. An exclusive ‘glass pearl flake’ white gloss exterior paint that is inspired by a long, rich regional tradition of pearl diving sets this Sadaf Edition apart. It gets paired with a pearlescent contrast roof that compliments the seashell-toned exterior colour and 23-inch Diamond Turned SV wheels with gloss dark grey contrast and matching inserts. The Range Rover lettering upfront gets an exquisite 24k gold and black chrome finish.

The cabin features treadplates with ‘Sadaf Edition’ wordmark alongside a ‘1 of 20’ designation and gets draped in duo-tone leather upholstery. The upper section of the dashboard and the rear seats are covered in Liberty Blue to reflect the blue colour of the Arabian Gulf with Natural Cream Ash Burr veneer for contrast stitching and bespoke embroidery detailing inside.

Furthermore, an exclusive art piece will be provided alongside every Range Rover SV Bespoke Sadaf Edition. The said sphere-shaped artwork, called The Pearl, was made by Emirati conceptual artist Matar Bin Lahij who is responsible for the calligraphy work that covers the Museum of the Future in Dubai. The design of the Pearl comprises a calligraphy sphere which is said to be the heart of the pearl, surrounded by long stretches of metal that twist and turn with smaller spheres scattered around. It is as if they orbit the sphere’s nucleus.

Only the guests of Range Rover House are offered the Range Rover SV Bespoke Sadaf Edition. However, the luxury British marquee didn’t limit its guests to potential buyers as influential women in the Middle East were also invited by the brand to host discussions and provide them with a unique insight to the inspiration behind the new limited-edition Range Rover. The women were also facilitated a workshop on the art of jewelry making by jewelry maker Lynn Born, who specialises in working with pearls.

Shivaum Punjabi of TCI got to speak with JLR’s Chief Creative Officer Gerry McGovern Obe and JLR MENA region’s Managing Director Bruce Robertson on what went behind the culmination of the Bespoke Sadaf Edition and what importance does the Middle East region hold for Range Rover.
