At the Paris Air Show 2025, Airbus found a new customer in LOT Polish Airlines. The Polish flag carrier inked its first-ever aircraft deal with the European aircraft manufacturer. The agreement states a firm order for 40 A220 single-aisle jets, split evenly between the A220-100 and the A220-300 variants. The airline also has the option to increase the number to 84 A220 aircraft in the future.
The Airbus A220 aircraft ordered by LOT Polish Airlines will be delivered between 2027 and 2031. They will gradually replace the Polish airline’s existing regional fleet. With the longest range and lowest fuel consumption combination, the Airbus A220 is the most modern aeroplane in the 100-160-seat category. It can travel up to 3,600 nautical miles (6,700 km) nonstop. Depending on the configuration, the A220-100 can seat between 100 and 135 passengers, while its larger sibling, the A220-300, can accommodate between 120 and 160 passengers.
During the Paris Air Show 2025, LOT Polish Airlines also finalised the engine supplier for its Airbus A220 aircraft. It inked an agreement with Pratt & Whitney, which signed deals with Frontier Airlines and Cebu Pacific at the event, to supply PW1500G engines. Indoors, LOT Polish Airlines will equip its Airbus A220 jets with Recaro seats, each accompanied by a mobile device holder, 60-watt USB-C ports and cup holders. Large overhead bins will allow for more carry-on bags.
