OffRoad-Zone hosts a special International Off-Road Day event in the UAE

If every Formula 1 race weekend is for enthusiasts to celebrate a speed festival, the International Off-Road Day held on the 8th of October celebrates those who live for the grit and love of the off-road. And this year, OffRoad-Zone, a leading private automotive brand in the UAE orchestrated an event to celebrate the close-knit community of adventurers and explorers.

The OffRoad-Zone hosted the 2nd International Off-Road Day in the UAE at the XQuarry Adventure Park in Dubai. Attendees were divided into teams, each embarking on a unique off-road adventure. These adventure trips comprised participants using their rugged 4x4s to overcome steep inclines, drive over curated obstacles and even soldier atop a hill via uncharted terrains.

Team TCI was also invited to join one of these teams. We were made to explore the expansive desert and witness the skilled community members tackle challenging obstacles first-hand. It was worth noting that amateur participants were encouraged to attempt all obstacles but with the highest safety standards and eagle-eyed marshalls in place. Our assigned instructor further educated us on some basics of off-roading while tackling the same while ending almost an hour-long trip to the hill and back with some healthy conversations on off-roading cars and capabilities – a gala time for those interested in 4x4s.

Currently, the OffRoad-Zone is focusing on the expansion of its community while highlighting the significance of this kind of motorsport. It boasts over 600 members at present with the club organising weekly desert drives and various off-roading activities to consistently fuel the passion of off-roading among its members.

The International Off-Road Day celebration reached its culmination with a celebratory conclusion at the end of the event, where the best-performing teams and individuals were rewarded with exciting prizes.
