Mercedes-Benz X Moncler By Nigo Collection Launched

The collection mixes Moncler’s mountain heritage with Mercedes-Benz’s automotive legacy. Customers are also handed a special 1:64 scale replica of the Mercedes-Benz Project G-Class Past II Future by Hot Wheels.

The Mercedes-Benz x Moncler by NIGO collection launched on 4 April, 2025, blending 80s/90s vibes with modern lifestyle aesthetics, now available for customers and fashion fans. Alongside the newly launched fashion collection, the first Mercedes‑Benz G‑Class Past II Future models will be handed over to customers. The exclusive event was hosted at the 330,000-square‑foot Mercedes‑Benz of Manhattan facility, located on the West Side, Manhattan.

The Collection: Mixing Moncler’s mountain heritage with Mercedes-Benz’s automotive legacy

Powered by the Moncler Genius co-creation platform, fashion designer NIGO – an early pioneer of street fashion known for his archival research – has crafted the Mercedes-Benz x Moncler by NIGO collection and the limited-edition G-Class Past II Future. Blending past design trends with New York hip-hop culture, his work draws on the rich histories of Moncler, Mercedes-Benz, and his lifelong passion for music, offering a personal take on the Moncler universe enriched by Mercedes-Benz’s iconic imagery. The collection fuses Moncler’s mountain heritage with Mercedes-Benz’s automotive legacy. Gender-neutral designs blend brand elements – G-Class imagery appears in prints and embroidery, while Moncler’s archival outdoor scenes are transformed for urban wear. The line is also designed to evoke vintage Americana with varsity jackets, hoodies, and checked shirts that mirror the vehicle’s interior. A signature Moncler puffer features the Mercedes-Benz three-pointed star, while heritage Moncler font adds bold lettering to base layers. The collection is available at select Moncler stores in New York, London, Paris and Beijing. It can also be purchased online at moncler.com.

In relation with the launch, fashion designer, music producer and creative director, NIGO mentioned:

“I always refer to the past. In Japan, there is a saying that goes: Learn from the past to create something new.”

The Campaign: Friends in a G-Class, on a rooftop

Photographed by Thibaut Grevet, the collection is showcased in images inspired by New York rooftop parties, featuring models as friends gathered in a Mercedes-Benz vehicle with a NYC water tower in the background. The limited-edition G-Class used is one of only 20 units. It is inspired by NIGO’s one-off art piece Project G-Class Past II Future and is based on the new G 450 d and features a two-tone green and grey exterior, iconic chequered upholstery, and a rear-mounted spare wheel with the collaboration logo. Black accents highlight the window frames, alloy wheels, and full-length bumper guard.
