Manhart MHX6 700 Gets Garnished With Gold

It’s a one-of-one.

In December 2021, Manhart Performance introduced a spruced-up BMW X6 M (third-gen, pre-facelift). It dubbed the finished project the MHX6 700. It summed up really well. Then, an owner of a standard X6 M contacted the Wuppertal-based tuner for a discussion that revolved around making an attention-grabber, regardless of where the SUV Coupe goes. Enter the Manhart MHX6 700 WB Gold Edition 01/01. That end part means it’s a one-of-one.

So, what’s special here? Manhart incorporated gold flakes in the Forged Carbon widebody kit to deliver that unique look. This can be seen on several panels, including the kidney grille, GTR air outlets on the bonnet, front spoiler, wheel arch extensions, side skirts, diffuser and two side-skirt attachments. Even the two-piece spoiler lip at the rear boasts the same finish. Rounding off the gold garnishings are the decorative stripes, the Manhart decal set and the accents on the wheels.

The Manhart MHX6 700 WB Gold Edition rides on Y-spoke rims measuring 11×23 inches wrapped with 315/25-section rubber. The enhanced crouching stance comes from Manhart coil over springs by KW Suspensions. Those allow variable height adjustment. Another option is the Manhart Springs by H&R for a fixed 30mm drop in ride height. And the paint is a unique shade of violet.

In standard form, the BMW X6 M offers 600hp/750Nm from its twin-turbocharged 4.4-litre V8. In MHX6 700 spec, those figures go up to 730hp/900Nm. That is achieved using a Manhart Mhtronik additional ECU or an ECU remap. The upgrades include a stainless steel exhaust system with flap control and four 100mm tailpipes. One could even take the race version without catalytic converters, but that setup is available only for export markets.

The Manhart MX6 700 WB Gold Edition doesn’t feature anything special indoors. In other words, it remains in its standard carbon-rich spec. However, those interested can order customisations with Forged Carbon bits. That ropes in an eight-piece interior kit for the dashboard, door panels and the seats. Manhart also offers carbon attachments for the steering wheel and gearshift paddles. Its branded floor mats are also available.
