Emirates To Offer Premium Economy On Two More Routes
It will fly retrofitted and refreshed A380s to both destinations.
Dubai-based carrier Emirates has announced that by the end of December 2023, it will have extended its Premium Economy option to fourteen routes. The thirteenth one will come into effect from November 19, when a retrofitted Airbus A380 will fly from Dubai to SĂ£o Paulo thrice a week. The outbound and inbound flight numbers are EK261 and EK262, respectively. Once active, SĂ£o Paulo will become the airline’s fifth point in its North and South American network, where flights will operate with the new cabin class.
Then, from December 20, Emirates will operate a four-class aircraft (with Premium Economy) to and from Tokyo Narita, in Japan. It will be a daily service, and the destination will become the second in the carrier’s Far East network to offer the cabin class in question. The outbound and inbound flight numbers are EK318 and EK319, respectively.
The refreshed A380s to be deployed on both routes will feature 56 Premium Economy seats at the front of the main deck in a 2-4-2 layout. The aircraft will also have 338 Economy and 76 Business Class accommodations and 14 First Class suites.
In July this year, Emirates’ Premium Economy debuted with its flight to Singapore. Besides that, the airline offers that cabin class services to London Heathrow, Sydney, Melbourne, Christchurch, Los Angeles, New York JFK, Houston and San Francisco. From October 29, 2023, its flights to Bengaluru and Mumbai will also have the Premium Economy option.
